I’m a sound bath practitioner but am being guided to offer a divine feminine drum gathering as part of my sound practice. I found Layne on UA-cam and then her amazing book, When The Drummers Were Women! Then I found you! Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤ so much for posting these videos! I’m on a wonderful journey and you are a great part of it. I wish I lived in your area of the country. Sending you many blessings ❤
Oh, yes to this! I could talk to you forever and a day, Mkat! 🥰 First of all, I love that you’re a sound bath practitioner, and that you are following the guidance to offer a divine feminine drum gathering as part of your sound practice. ✨✨✨ Some of my students are sound bath practitioners, and are feeling the same as you! And we’re all finding one another now. The hive is buzzing… 🐝 🌸🐝🌸🐝 So happy to hear that you found Layne on UA-cam and that you’re diving into her incredible and seminal book! It’s transformed so many lives, her work in general has. And I feel blessed that you then found me. 🥰🙏🏼🌹 I never know who’s out there watching, unless they mention, so thank you very much for speaking up and introducing yourself! 😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Just so you know, I teach nationally, and soon to be internationally! In fact, I was going to teach in Puerto Rico back in February or March, but it was impossible for the hostess to find a space because suddenly, everyone was ready to be gathering again, and all of her usual workshop spaces were booked solid! (She’s an expressive art’s therapist) And then I was scheduled to teach in England back in May, but the hostess had to cancel it due to a scheduling conflict. (She is a Priestess and Mentor of Sacred Sound) But last year, 2022, I taught, I don’t know, maybe a dozen workshops between Florida and New Hampshire. And some students of mine have filed a grant to bring me to Minneapolis in 2024. So a lot is happening, the tambourine path is opening up new pathways into the world! Very exciting. I don’t know where you are, but let’s keep in touch, because you never know when I’ll show up in your neck of the woods! That would be wonderful to meet you. 💝 I don’t mean to assume, but just to plant a seed, I’ll mention this… Everywhere I go, it’s because someone is interested in bringing me there. And together, we make the magic happen. ✨✨✨ Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to support you in creating this divine feminine drum gathering, manifesting your vision. I’m here for you, it’s my pleasure and passion to be of service. 🥰🙏🏼🌹
Awwww I’m so sorry you’re unable to find it, Trebor. It’s unfortunate that her UA-cam channel has disappeared, if that’s where you first found her teachings. You’re so welcome, it’s my passion and pleasure to teach and share! Happy drumming to you! 😊🙏🏽✨💖
Oh, Miranda, thank you so much for taking the time to join me here! Honestly, your support means the world to me. Layne’s Legacy Lives Through Us All! 😊🙏🏼❤️✨✨
Oh good, Sabina, glad you’re here, nice to see you. And so soon! Impressive! Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help you along your tambourine path. 🥰🙏🏽🌹
If you are interested in Tambourines, have you ever even thought of a pandeiro, which is a brazilian instrument that looks closely similar to a tambourine?
Indeed, we have! The Brazilian national instrument. We traveled to Salvador, da Bahía, Brazil, in 2005 and 2008. Bought several pandeiros, some for ourselves, some to resell in our music store. Had some lessons while there as well, especially memorable was a music professor teaching us at the University. I think the school was called UFAB or UFB. Do you play pandeiro or tambourine, Josh? Thanks for being here, watching and commenting! 😁🙏🏼✨🎶
Hi Maureen, thank you for asking! Glad you’re interested in the tambourine! We don’t sell as many as we used to, so we don’t stock a lot of them anymore. The best thing to do is to call Jeff while he is at the store, Tuesday through Sunday 11 to 2. Here’s the number: 941-966-5800. And he can let you know what we have. Did you watch my other video, on how to choose a tambourine? It’s informative but not exactly conclusive, so I wanna make more videos, as lots of people are coming forward wanting more info about them. In the description I have links to tambourines on Amazon so that you can check them out there as well. Thank you I hope this helps, and please feel free to call! 😊
Yes, I watched that one a while ago and then found this one of the series. I would prefer to buy from you if you have one. I also looked at used ones but there are not many available. I then found a Meinl online if all else fails. But I will review that buying video first. Thanks!
@@maureendetroit Thank you so much for wanting to buy from us in support of our music store! Are you local? I don’t know anything about the meinl tambourine tho I love my meinl frame drum. Does it have double row jingles? Textured head? Synthetic or skin?
