Sis, it will get cold at night. An insulated sleeping pad is a must. A small throw blanket, if you have room, is excellent if temps drop more than you thought. It is painful to be cold at night. Make sure to pitch your tent on highish ground in case it rains. Grab a small bag of briquettes like Matchlight. It will make starting a camp fire, even with wet wood, a snap to start. Have fun! The desert in California at night in "July" when it's well over a 100 F during the day will freeze water solid left in your cooking pan
at night.
The temperature difference between day and night in the desert makes it very cold at night. It's the coldest part as the sun starts to rise, the temperature drops again.
You need to bring some warm clothes and your rain gear. The nights are going to be freezing so be prepared
It is very cold in the desert at this time of the year so please make sure you have really really warm clothing and have a very very good time.😊
I'm so jealous you're go to BRO in Borrego! It could potentially drop into the 60s this upcoming weekend, so not too cold, but definitely a difference from during the day. When I went to BRO in Narrowsburg this year it was 70 during the day and dropped into the high 40s at night, THAT was super cold. I think you'll be okay this weekend though. Be safe and have a great time! Can't wait to see footage from this one.

Enjoy the metal sculptures around Borrego Spings, don’t miss the dragon. Our troop camps there a few times a year. I always add an additional layer under my pad using reflectix. Reflectix is an insulation with silver reflective material keeps the tent warmer just from your body heat. Have fun!
Hey hey, Queen Sit! Be sure your tent is completely zipped up when you go to sleep. Rattlesnakes seek heat after the sun goes down and they would certainly welcome the chance to snuggle up with you if given the chance. Also, scorpions and tarantulas are everywhere, so you want to be sure to zip up the tent. The desert does get cold at night. It's not unusual for temps to drop down into the 30s. Prayers for a safe trip and have fun!! Love your channel!!🥰
In the desert a 15 degree bag is a good idea, as well as an insulated sleeping pad to hold the heat towards you. If you end up needing to wear an insulated layer and socks it's not a bad idea, a good comfortable fleece or merino wool hat is not a bad idea either. I sleep pretty warm so I don't typically need a really warm sleeping setup but if you sleep cold you might need more to be comfortable in the desert. The temp will drop sharply after the sun goes down, with the coldest time being about an hour before sunrise. Below freezing is certainly possible but most temps are around low 40's to high 30's at night.
