Overview
The all-new aluminum Sherpa 2.0 resets the standard for user-friendly adventure. Sherpa 2.0 is the latest craze for platform bike racks. It may look just like their other platform bike racks but the critical difference is 0 frame contact. That’s right you read right this bike rack does not touch the frame only the tires which protect your frame 100%. The Sherpa 2.0 features adjustable padded arms and Wheel cradles to accommodate virtually any bike size and can be folded up for compact storage. Folding tire cradles create an abundance of clearance while our foot-activated pivot lever lets you bask in the glory of carrying a bike or eating a breakfast burrito while unfolding your rack simultaneously. Rather than using the hook to grip the bike frame, the Sherpa 2.0 provides a platform for the bike tires to rest in and uses the adjustable hook to grip the tires giving it the 0 contact. This makes loading and unloading bicycles very quick and easy, with excellent stability. The Kuat Sherpa fits 2” receiver tubes. It comes with an anti-rattle lock pin that will allow for a quiet, secure, and movement less ride. Additionally, it brings a steel cable that connects with the anti-rattle pin securing all your bikes to the rack.

Thanks for this video. Exactly what I was looking for. Short, sweet and packed with the info I needed. Appreciate y’all. If I’m ever in Miami, I know where I’m going for rack or hitch needs!
Thank you. We're glad our video was helpful.
Great video! One thing, the way you locked your bike onto the rack makes it super easy to steal. You should wrap the cable through the frame and maybe one of the wheels too if possible. The way you did it makes it so the bike can be disassembled and removed. If you put it through the inside of the frame you'd have to cut the bike or the cable to steal it.
"Thank you so much for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! And I really appreciate your advice regarding bike security. You're absolutely right, I'll definitely start locking it up differently to ensure better protection. Wrapping the cable through the frame and maybe a wheel sounds like a much more secure approach. Thanks again for looking out!"
I am originally from Miami and I know how easily bikes are stolen. You definitely have to put the cable through the frame and both wheels.
Thank you for this video. I bought my rack used from a bike shop, which is much better for me. If it weren’t for your video I wouldn’t be able to figure out how to fold down or extend those arms that secure the bike down.
Extremely helpful and explained very well. Thank you very much!

Thank you, Glad you enjoyed the video!
Really great video, thank you! I really like this rack. Is this a 1-2inch hitch? Also, do you know if they have 3 bike rack options?
@latoya3696 Thanks for the compliment. This rack the Sherpa can come in 1-1/4" or 2". Also available in 3 different colors. Unfortunately it does not come for 3 bikes. If you want a Kuat for three bikes check this one out. Hope this helps. miamihitches.com/kuat-transfer-v2-3-bike-platform-rack-fits-2-inch-hitch-t223b.html

I have the Serpa 2.0 but I see some difference between mines and this one. I have the 1.25 hitch version. Not sure if that's why.
Hi, there are two models of the Sherpa 2.0. There is a 1.25 inch shank and a 2 inch shank. The 1.25 inch shank has a curve on it that brings the rack up about 4 inches. This is done as a 1.25 hitch is mostly used in sedans that have hitches that are much lower to the ground. There is an adapter piece (Part # D101) that allows a 1.25 inch shank to be expanded to two inch and can be used in both hitch sizes.
The 2 inch rack is a straight shank as seen in the video. Most two inch receivers are usually at a good height for proper operation. hope this clarifies the difference. MH
Very good explanation. Do you recommend this rack or any other similar ones?
This is one of my best sellers. Highly Recommended.
If you would like to stick to Kuat, you can check out the Kuat NV 2.0 & Kuat NV Base 2.0. Which both have the option to add up to 2 bike add-on attachment
Is that piece of cardboard included with the bike rack?
When you purchase your rack it comes packaged in a cardboard box with many pieces. We used this piece of cardboard to keep from scratching the rack while we demonstrate how to use it.
How far out does the rack extend out when folded down
When folded down the sherpa will extend around 30"
Not a good example of how to mount and secure the bike. The cable could elongate the way it was installed by sliding towards the steerer tube. Also, the arm latching on the front wheel should be against the fork for a tighter and more secure fit.
Thank you for your feedback. We will do an update to the video.
@@miamihitches Sorry, I didn't mean to be critical. The rest of the video was actually very good and well executed. Timing and pace was very well done. The way the cable was installed, it could be slipped over the handlebar and then under the wheel which means the bike would be easily taken. I doubt the cable is long enough but not sure. I am getting my rack in a few days and will check. Ideally the cable should be routed through the frame AND BOTH WHEELS. Wheels can be removed from the bike if just the frame is secured by the cable. Good wheels can run between $1000 and $4000.
@@johannel8104 Thank you we aim to provide quality videos. We're happy to hear you're getting your rack soon. We're always running promotions on our website. Make sure you check it out next time you need something. Enjoy your new rack.
The design where the hook in the resting position touches the tire cradle ratchet strap is so annoying. The NV doesnt do this.
Expedia is a terrible company
