I didn't realize your folding leg & "suitcase style" table had adjustable leg height as well. This seems like a must for so many applications in the home. I hope I can still find one of those. I am quite tall, so may be able to find a better height for comfort on my back than I typically find. Thanks so much for all the details!

If you are really tall like I am then the dinning room table works great, remember to take into account how tall you are or how long your arms/hands are. I'm a woman and six feet tall so the 24 inches would kill me to use it that low. However I love your video's and just absolutely love your ideas!

I like your idea of the foam insulation to fit around the machine. I am going to do this right away!

Hi Fatima, I am so glad that my video has helped you! Be sure to watch the first two and also about Ergonomics (chair height and machine position on the table). Thank you for watching and for your kind message :)

To the PVC legs. I cut down a door to size. For the legs I too used PVC pipe about 3" across, To attach them to flat door I had to use some ingenuity and came up with this idea. I found that the tops of liquid detergent and fabric softener were the exact size for the legs to fit into so I glued the top of the cap to the bottom of the table (door). A perfect fit and for the gal who wanted to know about the carpet...well, do the same thing for the other end of the pipe. Worked great for me!

My cutting table is just a 5' banquet table, then I cut pieces of white PVC pipe to fit over the legs to suit my desired cutting height. I think the PVC pieces are about 12" long, about 6" cover the bent sections of the legs of the table. I find this quite sturdy. Nice part is I can fold it up out of the way or use it for the backyard when we have extra company for picnics in the summer; throw a cheap plastic (99 cent store) table cover over it. I recommend using the heavier gauge PVC pipe

PVC pipe can be cut with a hack saw, table saw, hand saw. It's a fairly "soft" material. Also try black ABS plumbing pipe, that can be cut with string (not kidding here, wrap a piece of string around it fully, so it overlaps, then seesaw the string). A string cut is not usually as neat as a saw cut, but anyone can do it. I prefer the white pipe, as I can see any bug who may have decided to try to nest in there. After I cut the pipe, I use a jackknife & carefully scrape off any burrs. Sandpapr

@quilterstitch Yes, the height adjustment is the very best feature but it is still better to completely adjust the height for you! I use 1" high boards that are about 6" wide and 2' long under the feet of my table because I am fairly tall also, and that gives me the perfect height for both my sewing and my computer tables :)

Thanks for sharing your tip - I hope to do this soon with a bigger board!

I usually find them at Sam;s Club, Costco and occasionally at Walmart. You can also find them on Amazon.

@quilterstitch Sounds perfect! I love lots of space for cutting and those tables are huge! Did you cut your PVC with a hacksaw and if so, did you put anything under the cut edge to keep it from scratching the floor? Or maybe your table is on carpet?
