Well done! It is absolutely beautiful. I've seen so many poorly done, cheap looking or worse-chaotic looking Tiny Homes, but this is stunning. Your attention to detail is awesome. If only I hit the lottery tonight❤️. Are you going to build more of these homes to sell? I surely hope so. Mathieu, you're a master designer and builder!
The man and the home are both beautiful! Well done! Thank you for sharing. I love the minimalist design. The cherry/cedar wood is stunning. The interior design is flawless and very functional. I love the windows because it lets you gaze at the beautiful woods outdoors. I mean what else could you ask for? All it needs is an adorable little cat to greet you at the entrance. This kind of minimalist home is why I fell in love with tiny homes. I personally would put it on a foundation and on a .5 acre lot for my cats to roam. I need my home on foundation in tornado alley. Lovely video! I currently own a normal 3 bd, 2ba, which I love, but I like tiny too.
It is immediately apparent that Mathieu is a master craftsman. Absolutely beautiful carpentry and attention to detail. I would love to see what you build for yourself someday!!
One of the nicest tiny homes I’ve seen! Elegant in its simplicity and composed of complementing materials. Great stories of their fortunate finding too. Well done Mate 👍
He and his friends did a wonderful job. I would say to give yourself grace. I know he is the builder but he was a bit hard and proud of himself at the same time. I think he did wonderful and I hope someone is also happy with his creation!
Half way through this video and need to comment. Well done to the builder! This is excellent work, really impressive to see done pretty much solo. Is he still building tiny houses? 😅🙏🏼
Absolutely gorgeous and very well designed. I love the bathroom too and the sink looks great the way you have it. Love all the custom woodwork too. Great job! ❤️😊
! ! ! REWARDING ! ! ! Congratulations Mathieu ! You Conquered Not Only This Beautiful Project, But The Broadest Sense of The Word “REWARDING” ! Congratulations and Best Wishes !
Your color and material choice on the exterior is perfect. The interior is perfect as well because it doesn’t lock the owner into a specific configuration. I like how you kept most of the design open, which will allow them to move things around if they want. You have a bright future ahead of you!
The alternating cedar and black, cedar and white, makes this really lovely but that FEATURE WALL is absolutely stunning! I love the black window trim against the cedar. Really nice. If there were anything I would change, I would have a taller kitchen window. This one feels a bit cramped, and I would make the bathroom vanity the same width as the sink so it doesn't look top heavy, and adds some more usable storage. Then perhaps switch the toilet and washing machine, ensuring that the washer door opens on the right. Otherwise this is a lovely build.
That is so incredibly beautiful. I would buy it and you should do this for a living. You are so talented and your tradesmanship is much needed, appreciated and valuable!
Well done love both the exterior and well designed interior, The dark frame work around that interior window really makes the space pop love the black with the timber regardless. and how spaciouse it look's. Everything goes together smoothly. I love this Home .
Mathieu, you have done a magnificent job!!! Your home is truly a masterpiece!!! Not quite enough storage space for clothes, is my only negative thought. I am sure you will find a buyer quickly ~ you should be proud of your work!! Sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you.
Sweet! The process of planning for the best use and most aesthetically pleasing arrangement is absolutely an intensive one! The attention to the fine details like the cabinet wood grain is often lacking even in an expensive large house! You've done an awsome job! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful home Mathieu. I also am concerned with all the big windows and none open you could have condensation in the winter and too hot in the summer. But it depends on your climate and location... like shade, in the open etc. Your work and materials are really nice. You should be proud and hope you have sold by now!
It’s always a joy to see the finished product of a passionate and talented carpenter! I fell in love instantly with the interior design using the timber choices and white walls. I would be happy to call this my home but as I’m very short, I would be able to comfortably drop the ceiling in the kitchen to gain 4 or 5 inches more in the loft. Overall, it’s a stunning design and clearly built with craftsmanship.❤
Jist beautiful, amd so interesting to listen to your rationale for your decisions. Brilliant quality shines out everywhere. Good luck for a very rewarding future!
Beautifully, thoughtfully done. This handsome, kindly, resourceful craftsman/ carpenter has a dynamite future. LOving the black framed, large, back window in the livingroom area, loving his instinct for bigger windows, loving the dynamics and feel in kitchen, etc. Mathieu, given what is probably an open, more interesting and magnanimous-in-feel career path, might also want to consider stationary "guest spaces/*shacks." He could really come in, applying all that efficiency and rich craftsmanship into autonomous spaces for grandparents, teens. Something marvelous and creative could be built on smaller or larger properties. In the meanwhile, bravo, and much joy to him however he aims his love of material.
that is a great floor plan and I love that you put a pantry in the kitchen...I don't know if you are in the U S or not but to be legal here in the U S you have to have a window you can climb out incase of fire downstairs...so the upstairs has to have an Egress window yours looked to small for an adult to get out... I didn't see a fan in the bathroom to let out the steam...also is there an air exchanger ? to let the bad air out and the good air in ...Egress window, air Exchanger and fan in bathrooms are important in a tiny home so no mold forms ... A good thing to have is a mini split that has a built in dehumidifier that really keeps the mold out....the floor plan is one of the best I have seen great thinking .....I forgot to add I am 67 and have bad hips so I would have to have stairs instead of a ladder ..
Really beautiful congrats Mathieu👍👏 I love all the wood work and the beautiful windows😘 I would like to have the bedroom downstairs with cabinets for clothes because I feel claustrophobic in lofts😟 I would keep the loft for storages.🙏 What I like about your bathroom is that it fits everything functional but most of all the flushing toilet cause I am not a fan of composting toilet.😂 As I will not be travelling I will build it on foundation with a deck and a little garden. ❤ What you have done for a first build by yourself and your friend helping is just fabulous👏👍 Hope to watch more of your designs tiny homes soon.👍😘
Beautiful tiny house design! And so well executed! If you wanted a shower, you could have used Muraluxe panels and then your shower would have been lighter than the bathtub. There are so many beautiful Muraluxe panels and I think they can even print your own design on them now. My grandfather’s surname was Ouellet. It was changed to Willet in the States, but family history is all Ouellet or Ouellette and other variations, plus LaPointe and Levesque. As far as I can tell, the Ouellets trace back to New Brunswick in the mid 1700s. I haven’t yet been able to go further back than that.
This is a beautiful tiny. I lived in a 30' for 4 yrs after we were burned out in Paradise, Calif. We have since moved but I will live in another tiny house. Like i said, this is a beautiful home.
Most of these on here are display/ prototype models as you rarely see any personally belongings. Also he raves about the 6ft 2" clearance downstairs but can barely sit up in the highest corner of the bedroom section! The layout just seems a bit off to me. His friends woodwork is great though.
@@AnyKeyLady yeah the 6'2" wouldn't be enough for me and I don't need a bathtub in my tiny, especially at 6'6". I couldn't use it anyway. With that space reclaimed, they could have stairs.
@@ryefry At 6'6", you would need a slide to get out of that bed space! Yes the spaces around the bath tub, sink and the angle of the toilet was odd, when space is premium. Those shirt's will never dry in the bathroom.
Congratulations Mathieu on your first tiny home build. Keeping the colour palette neutral will certainly help attract more buyer so they can easily customize to their own desires. I do have a concern about the amount of closet space for clothing -- is there any beyond atop of the washer/dryer? Aside from addressing the storage it is close to perfect and a well thought out design. Best wishes on your future success in carpentry.
👍 gefällt mir sehr gut, was soll ich sagen als schreiner kollege hätte ich auch nichts anderes erwartet.... in meinem nächsten leben werde ich auch solche schönen tinyhouses bauen.... 🤩 grüße aus deutschland
I love the style and the openness, especially with all the windows. However, there is too little storage space, especially for clothes and shoes, books, etc. The double cabinets in the kitchen/living room are brilliant though - fantastic woodwork!
very nice home if you'd placed the toilet on the same wall as the sink you could have had a larger cabinet and knees wouldn't hit it it looks nice, but where are all your clothes, blankets, etc? I love the feature wall, ceiling, and all the windows. The floors are gorgeous.
We actually went for just a mineral oil finish, it won't provide much protection for the wood, but it is food safe, and easy to reapply, you can also top the mineral oil with a butcher block conditioner which has waxes that will offer some mild protection. The other option we had was a polyurethane spray finish, which would've been more durable, but once it starts to look rough, you would need to completely strip and refinish which would be very labor intensive.

I concur! And have the same question 😂
Having that one windowframe a dark color really makes a big difference and adds a lot to the overall look of the space.

This is AMAZING!!! Those big black windows on the natural wood is beautiful!!!! I’m so impressed!!! You should feel so proud!!!❤
The black frame around the window is gorgeous well done!
A gorgeous, spacious, classy home!
Absolutely gorgeous and very well designed. I love the bathroom too and the sink looks great the way you have it. Love all the custom woodwork too. Great job! ❤️😊
Totally agree that the lack of skylight over the bed is just right and cosy, all the other beautiful windows are enough!

Love the attention to details here. Gorgeous home. ✨

That’s amazing! I’m no plumber or construction worker but will the pex piping be ok outside? I know it expands etc. I’m still learning. lol
Very nice ! Good things happen to good people. Thanks for all the back story ; )
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for your comment :)
This is one of the most well thought out builds. Simple but smart and very livable. I like having the propane tanks and water tank outside.
i love this tiny house ❤

Great kitchen, bathroom, and living room! I can’t personally do a loft for sleeping.
It looks really nice but I don't see any storage for clothes other than the rod above the W/D. If I had to guess, I don't think he ever lived in it.

i have a crush. lovely home too :)
What about moisture in the wood? As the washroom is right below the loft? Please advise
A perfect house. How is the house heated? Or did I miss that...
