- We are learning to fly VFR (visual flight rules). This means that we need to be looking outside most of the time to navigate, look for obstacles, other planes and birds. So how do we keep the plane straight and level while looking outside?

Enjoyable series. I took my PPL in 1988 so this is a bit of a refresher for me as I haven't flown in quite a few years.
I was interested in the GNS430 only Avionics mod as I also prefer the more default Cessna look rather than dual Garmins. However I think it must still be using an older C172 as the Autopilot is the old version and not the newer S-TEC 55 that operates differently and is minus the AUTO button. I am wondering if any other areas of the 172 have been updated also since this mod was last updated.

Great information mixed in with a lot of off topic stuff. How to actually fly straight and level doesn't really begin until 7:10 half way through the video.
I have difficulty keeping the horizontal level in x plane 11 the plane keeps rolling to the left or right but will not stay perfectly level unless I engage the auto pilot, can you give any advice on a setting to adjust.
