Have you ever left them on the tree for 2 years? I sometimes would leave them because the tree was so big, and they would get extremely large, and extremely sweet, harvested on its second summer

I'm only 20k's from you, so we share the same climate. Gotta be determined to try again. I killed my first plants 20 years ago, but kept going.

Melbourne's climate is perfectly suited for citrus figs olives and grapes, similar to the Mediterranean.

Love watching your videos. I have planted valencia orange in autumn and now it's flowering but I heard we should remove all flowers in first year so that plant use all its energy to grow strong root. I have seen your video about new citrus trees and you said your plants are fruiting. I was wondering if you will keep those fruits or remove them

I will let the new citrus trees drop the fruit, then I will choose to keep 2 or 3 for tasting.

Hey bro happy November 🌞 awesome orange tree! Do you get citrus gall wasp? If you do how do you deal with it? Tomorrow is gonna be an awesome day 👍🏼thanks

Yes I do, but mostly leave it to nature. Have a great month!

    • @Coolclimatetropicalfruits

Best no spray method for Gall wasp is to get a potato peeler or knife and shave top of lumps where wasps are laying and u only have to take a couple of layers off one side once the inside of the wasp bulge is exposed. Much better option than pruning down past those points and I wouldn’t recommend spraying as the sprays available for gall wasp are not specifically targeted and will effect much more than the wasps in and around your tree

How much should you water a potted valencia tree? It's pretty small.

Depends on the season. Twice a week in summer, twice a month in winter.
