- The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy is a classic of 20th C Postmodern Indian English Fiction. The novel combines postcolonial gothic, feminism, and existentialism. Set in Ayemanam, this 1997 Booker Prize-winning novel discusses themes such as forbidden love, casteism, and misogyny.
