I want to say I made hers a XXL size cause she wanted it to be fairly large. And for that I started with a chain of 150. A regular Large probably could’ve fit her too as it did come out rather big. And for a regular L size you’d chain 140.
Hi, found this today as someone asked me to make them something like this. I don't have a 5mm but I'll use my 4mm instead. Thank you for this awesome pattern!!
Have a hard time getting the right size I need but I found it easy to follow the instructions which was great! Just hope it fits the person I'm making it for.
@@raewyncormack2461 I think it depends on the size, for size XS, Small, Medium (12 skeins) for sizes Large, XL, 2XL (13 skeins) for sizes 3XL, 4XL, 5XL (14 skeins). Take into account that every skein is 100 gr according to this pattern.
It’s a lovely cardigan. Do you have instructions for small, medium, large and extra large. I’m ready to start, but don’t have a size to go by. Please help. Thank you.
So excited to try this as my first attempt at something other than blankets and scarves! Just wondering how many balls of yarn would one generally need? I always buy too much or too little…I realise it depends on the size of the cardigan, but just generally an average amount? Thank you ♥️
Hi!! I just came across your channel...love your work, you are very EASY to follow in your directions and I love the generous gift of your free pattern!!! Keep on with the great tutorials!!! I will be making this cardi!!! 😊
Omg thank you for the kind comments!! I’m so happy that you like the free pattern and tutorial! It makes me so happy to hear that 🥺 have fun making the cardigan!! 💕
BE WARE!!! I wanted an extra huge sweater so I chose tihs pattern. I did the 5x. It wasn't until I got to the last portion of the instructions did I realize that the 2 front panels are different sizes! When going through the instructions it say to go to row 44, then next row make the sleeve split. Then continue to the back then on to the other front panel. But the other front panel goes from row 135 to 164. This is only 29 rows, meaning for atotal count of 30 for the second front panel, where as the other count was 45. This is a HUGE mistake in calculations as well as how much yarn you will need to even out the panels, plus additional for the ribbling. UGH. I wish people would make sure their instructions are correct before posting them!! YOu can elther shorten the first panel to 29 in the count or you can crochet extra rows in the last panel to make it the same size. Either way, because this project was so time consuming to find out I had to add an additional 15 rows, really made me mad. It was either that or rip out the entire thing which I was not going to do after 164 row to make the first panel 28. I will just make the second panel larger with more rows, but sooo frustrating when I thought I was close to being done with the body!! FYI I also found that 163 stitches was super super long. It is more like a blanke sweater, not just a sweater. I am 5 ft 7 and it goes almost down to my ankels. Next time I will take the concept and just use it instead of the actual numbers this person did.
I would suggest to make things based on what fits you or the person you’re making it for because that’s what I did. I didn’t go according to the numbers they provided and it’s coming out fine. Just remember the amount of stitches you have used and you’ll be good and always recount to make sure.
Hi, can anyone tell me approximately how much wool was used for this. My sister is making it for me but I need to buy the wool. She is charging me £35/ $43.99 + wool expenses. is this a fair price? Thanks guys
As much wool as it takes yes it is that’s why before u even price anything for someone I tell them how much yarn it’s going to take and have them go buy it themselves bc yarn wool cotton or acrylic is expensive.
It's very important that you show a full picture of the completed project before you start your video. Lots of people will skip your video because of this
I dont understand the two small panel that are on the left side and the right side. Where are they going? It is shorter so I dont understand how the front will be the same size as the back? Can you please help me ? 😢
For those asking about yarn, I made a size S version of this cardigan with a few modifications and needed around 23 balls of yarn (50g, 5 ply, 80% cotton 20% acrylic). Hope this helps!
Idk if you answered your question yet but all the info for this project is given in the pattern. Just click on the link to the pattern and scroll through.
Neither of the links work. I get a pale blue page with a bunch of jumbled letters/words overwriting each other on right hand side. I couldn’t find you on Etsy either. If you have a written pattern with pictures I’d be willing to purchase it (as long as it’s a reasonable price) Thanks!
I chained 130, added the additional 2 chains. I DID start my HDC in the 3rd chain from hook. At the end I have 130. Your written pattern says my count should be 128. What’s going on ?
I’m so confused about the pockets because mine is definitely not looking like yours. You said hdc front bottom loop until the last 6 that is back loop hdc but then you ch 2 and flip your work and the last 6 hdc will be on both sides but yours only looks like it’s on 1 side only.
Was in the process of making this sweater (per video instructions) and halfway through the project realized it was coming along too small (XS)how do make it for Size Lg without frogging the whole project. First time making a clothing item.

This is not really that hard it took me almost like one and half month but the design go well. This turned out cute even it was my first piece of big project crochet
You had to read her pattern instructions to get the answer. In this video tutorial, she is working on a size Small. You will need 14 skeins to complete the project.
I wanted to make this, but to be honest, the instructions are not easy to follow and are not too clear. You also didn't zoom out for us to see the step-by-step process you were following to get an understanding-like the arm holes, the 33. When you had done both, you didn't show what it would look like, and then you continued. Just thought you should get some feedback.
This was so fun to make! I made one for my mom in a chunky blue, grey, and green yarn. She loves it! And I’m working on another one for her co-worker.
What size pattern did you make for your mom and how many chains did you start with?
What size did you make for your mom and how many chains did you start with please?

I am definitely going to try this pattern! It looks so easy going and flexible! Thank you for sharing it!
The bottom loop is generally called the third loop. Either gets the idea across. This is such a lovely warm looking cardi. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind comment! 🥺🧶
Can it be for men?
It can be for anyone
I made this & I love how it turned out!
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎 this toturial. Starting on my Fall cardigan now. Thx Lady ☺️🍂🍁🧥
Love this pattern! Just started making mine and I'm already happy with how its comming out. Thank you for this tutorial ❤

i would say no bc it seems too much for wool

Totally agree, there seems to be a trend with this, I think they think it will keep people watching but it only makes me switch off.
The picture of it is in the thumbnail
@@juliannarice777 It needs to be in the video, the thumbnail disappears!!!!!!¬

can you please reply to me for how many yarn balls i would need for this?

I couldn’t find you on Etsy either. If you have a written pattern with pictures I’d be willing to purchase it (as long as it’s a reasonable price)

I like it! Thnx!
Every time I do rows the sides are either uneven or the whole this curls can someone give me help 😢
I chained 130, added the additional 2 chains. I DID start my HDC in the 3rd chain from hook. At the end I have 130. Your written pattern says my count should be 128. What’s going on ?
gorgeous sweater! 🙂🙂
How many balls does it take???
Hi honey! I don't know if you could answer this but how many grams of yarn did you use for the project! Much love from Mexico!
Thank you 😊 ❤
I made it white , yet it took me a whole lot of time
I made my 😊❤white for my grandma

The finished piece is nice but I found the tutorial confusing - Sorry 🤷♀️
one question here where will be other armhole?
I feel so sorry for the people that have made all the pieces just to realise that it doesn't work
Ön ve arka aynı mı ilerliyor.
Nice cardigan, but can never get on site to retrieve pattern...
you can find it right here! www.yarnalina.com/crochet-classic-ribbed-long-cardigan/
Omg I just gave up! The time wasted trying to simply get to the pattern was ridiculous, well put off.
How many grams of thread did you take?
That is a really nice cardigan!!
It's almost like 800 to 900 grams of yarn.i made the same with oversized and having almost 900 to 950 gram of yarn
It may be less it can 700
How do I get a written pattern for this sweater…I’m having a hard time figuring out the sleeve part
Hi! If you check the description there is a link to a website with the written pattern, hope this helps!
I’m getting very confused between the first panel and the arm hole
Please show the final image :-)
Hi what was the yarn size ?
It is a 4 weight yarn. Click on the pattern link and all info is on the pattern website.
Question is 100 grams of yarn is enough for this type of cardigan
I think it depends on the size, for size XS, Small, Medium (12 skeins) for sizes Large, XL, 2XL (13 skeins) for sizes 3XL, 4XL, 5XL (14 skeins). Take into account that every skein is 100 gr according to this pattern.
100g is just a small ball of yarn. I read the pattern and it was confusing it didn't state how much yarn for each size.
For twenty years old

I love this pattern the music is unbearable. No music would be a better teaching tool.

The Jacket is lovely, but the music is annoying sorry.
How you assemble everything together is not very clear either. Especially for someone that doesn’t know anything about sewing things together.

Did you video this in a mall? that electric organ music can not be more irritating.
This vedio does not help beginners to start the pattern. This is just useless. Can't make head or tail of it. Not good
