That's so smart to have the BC in a vehicle that's capable of carrying a lot of crucial equipment. They are saving a lot of money and resources. Very cool 👍🏽
Fun Fact, Shawnigan and Oak Bay have Identical Engines and Ladders both Ladders 1’s are 2002 Sutphen Monarch 75’ Mid-mount and OB Engine 1 and SL Engine 3 are both 2009 Sutphen Monarchs
FB1 Response Videos Thank you! Yea man, it’s a small and slow Department, but when I saw the station I was like whoaaa I gotta get a video from here!! 😆 Glad you like it, it always feels like a more ‘complete’ video to me when I can combine a station visit with a response! :D
John Schuster No, it’s actually a ‘light-rescue battalion’. So instead of buying a separate rescue unit they can send this to accidents (the chief goes anyway, so you save there too). It also gives the Chief the ability to carry equipment and get involved at the scene as well, instead of just arriving in a mostly empty car. It’s a smart vehicle.
Cool... First time seeing a Japanese Firetruck in Canada but in Japan unless if you are in a US military base.... They had American firetruck liveries on these Isuzu trucks
Great video man! That's really nice of them to let you hang out at the station for a while. That Isuzu is quite unique! But my favorite truck in the video is definitely Engine 1! Man, that sound! Love that takeoff at 1:15 - sharp, throaty, and loud! What's the engine and transmission, Cummins ISM and Allison 4500 RDS? You should consider doing a ride along in that rig - it sounds freaking unbelievable! Great video once again!
John Schuster Cool! I’ve seen older stations than this as well, but for BC it’s pretty special. The biggest draw is the architecture though, that’s rare :D
TGG - Global Emergency Responses I agree on the architecture, we were supposed to get a new KME to replace our 2001 Seagrave but it was too big, hopefully with our new order of seagraves, one of them will fit.
The oldest fire station I have filmed at was one from 1883. Unfortunately there aren't many old stations left today, however some new stations can have an interesting architecture as well
Finn K Hmm it is...I’m pretty sure it’s well maintained, just an older truck... (But soon to be replaced I think). Really not a technical expert so I can’t tell you much more :/
It's a matter of the turbo lag because the driver is lead footed, if driven lighter you don't have as much because the turbo has time to spool up before you are adding the extra fuel.
Best lighting package an isuzu has ever had
Haha probably yea. It was used as like a show car for conventions before being delivered, that’s why they decked it out with so many lights.

Now that's a bit different than their last battalion haha
I never seen isuzu fire truck in canada its so rare
Yes it was also my first time seeing one in Canada :)
I think it’s a pretty practical vehicle.
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses in asia every second fire truck is isuzu

That Isuzu is very unique
I’m not a furry i swear A very rare sight in North America ;)
Beautiful station.
Very rare to see an Isuzu fire apparatus outside of Asia. Cool.
Isuzu in Canada? Ooh wow
Odessa Rescue how about the fact it's actually a battalion chief, what kind of chief needs a vehicle that big?

TGG - Global Emergency Responses all of our rescue equipment is pretty much in all of our Engines, so our engines are pretty much Rescue Engines.
John Schuster Yea well not every department is the same :P
TGG - Global Emergency Responses true.

Ah interesting. Thanks for the comment! :)
The Fire Station looks German House😂
That isuzu seems to be a pretty rare thing in Canada. Awesome video though.

Metro Vancouver Emergency Thank you Vic! Oh yea those lights are something else! ;D
Forget what the haters say, that Isuzu is gorgeous and of course so are the Sutphens and that PD Explorer. Nice "exotic" catches man!
Fire Phoenix Emergency Videos 火鳳凰特殊車輛影視 Haha you nailed it on that comment Jimmy ;) Thanks man!
Never seen a BC rig that big....even in BIG cities!
Really nice trucks! I just put a photo of the Engine on Instagram! Great footage!
Thank you!
In the Philippines there are some Japanese trucks. Sometimes they installed American sirens and air horns on them even in volunteer fire departments.
E1 just fits in the doors
Awesome
Thank you! ;D
Very nice!
kyranbrw Thank you! ;)
I think it would be neat to see more Isuzu apparatus operating in North America, they would perform well as an ALS mini pumper.
Awesome catches
Thank you man! ;D
This is a really cool video! God I missed watching videos like this!
Thank you so much! :D
Station 8 in Long Beach California is older than this, built in 1929, and I happen to have footage from there as well.

marlene They’re both pretty rare, thank you! ;D
Isuzu trucks for firetrucks are mostly used in South Asian countries. This is the first time I saw one in Canada
Sweet video Timur!!
Thank you sir ;)
Nice work
TGG - Global Emergency Responses
Ramsey love Thank you! ;)
wtf i live near oak bay ive never seen a japanese firetruck here in canada
1:20 Jeez that's a lot of smoke!!!! Can't you reduce that via proper maintenance or???
