age of empires 2 was much better it is my childhood game since i was 5 years old i started playing age of empires 2 but since this game's Released my father said to me"lets replace this with stronghold 2 he said it is better" then my last play of age of empires 2 when i was 9 years old my father delete age of empires 2 and replace it with stronghold 2 now that i'm 13 when i see this intro it reminds Age of empires and when i see Age of empires in youtube i am crying because of this game lost my childhood game now that i got my own laptop i'm gonna install Age of Empires 2 my childhood game

This intro scared me as a kid, especially at the ending with the menacing barbarian with the castle flag burning behind him, implying strongly what had happened to those who were within.
A child played these kinds of games... nowadays, for the game to be successful, it has to be very simple.

This was my childhood and without knowing I still knew everything he was going to say.
Please just make stronghold 2 all over again, graphics don't even have to be better, just everything on a larger scale, larger buildings, larger cities, much larger maps, army's of thousands of soldiers. Modern computers should be able to handle it.

Not really, he is one of the most agressive AI and i would say that he is one of the best oponents in kingmaker, He is always one of those who control a lot of map.

This and crusader where the best ones I've played. plated these as a kid but recently bought them to relive my youth in my down time.
This was everything back when I was younger. I remember when these were like, top of the line graphics. Man, video games have progressed so much since.
Loved SH1, but never had the chance to play this... yet somehow I remember this narrator's voice - mostly the way he talks.

Stronghold 2 is still the best of the series. The more extensive peasant and castle management, the story, the characters, the graphics. All perfect.

This was truly the best era for a castle sim, its was damn near perfect. I know that may sound a little much but I assure you NO game EVER sense has given me the feeling of being a King managing his kingdom! Please someone REMASTER THIS!

Checkered yellow and black, the most feared thing of all the stronghold games.
I remember this game more dificult than others like the first stronghold or stronhgold crusade ... but this its one of my favorties :,D

A stronghold with the polish and care of 1 & crusader 1, and the expansiveness of 2.. That would be literally the best and I swear to the gods, I will buy the game 3 times, at the least, and spread the good word

fireflyworlds OK, Firefly, i love Stronghold 2 because the characters has a story and a target to follow. Don't like Stronghold Crusader 2 where you have to just built castels and survive to the enemies. So i hope that this is a totaly graphic remake (so not just the same texture but in hd) whitout all the errors of the original stronghold 2.
If you'll do it i'll buy for shure the game.

visto che sei italiano spero che anche tu sia daccordo sul fatto che stronghold 2 faceva cagare perché per colpa di quegli eventi casuali che non si potevano disattivare il gioco diventava frustrante e non si poteva gestire nulla, ed i castelli venivano di merda per colpa di tutte quelle strutture necessarie per le cazzate.
kratosgodofwar95 Non capisco, a te non piace il fatto che ci sia una storia all'interno del gioco? Intendi che un gioco di strategia è bello solo se puoi costruire e assediare castelli senza una storia dietro? .....Forse ho capito male....
Che c entra la storia? Io ho detto che fanno schifo gli eventi casuali tipo i ratti, i ladri e cazzate varie che in modalità schermaglia non si possono disattivare ed il gioco ed il castello diventa ingestibile.

Bhe si, in effetti era un pò fastidioso, ma il fatto della criminalità andava bene per me.
Cosa pensi della storia vera e propria? Non pensi anche tu che sia più bello che i personaggi abbiano una loro storia e un motivo per cui combattere (proprio come in stronghold 2) invece di essere solo: Costruire i castelli e distruggere i nemici senza un'apparente motivo?

Comunque vorrei uno stronghold 2 nuovo sotto il profilo tecnico e grafico, in pratica un gioco tutto nuovo che però ha la storia uguale a quella di stronghold 2, come si suol dire un remake in tutto e per tutto, non solo le texture in hd!

please make one more "stronghold 2 or civ city rome" type of game please. just add more depth into it .i believe people will love it. i dont know why people say stronghold 2 sucks. but for many more people stronghold 2 is the best! please make one more game similar to stronghold 2. i miss it when the citizen complaint about the price of fish and etc.
