This is why they are usually green or starting to yellow in the store. The gas escapes most quickly through the open fibers at the end of the stem. If it's covered up, the gas escapes slower and the banana stays green longer.

God that last one brought back a memory. My wife and I did the playfighting thing over our daughter's first word after she was born. Since she was very clingy with me the first word she picked up was Dada, and while we were ecstatic I could see my wife was a little disappointed that she didn't get to hear Mama first.
Fast forward a few years to our second child and she actively tries to coax him to say Mama first. However he to was very clingy with me and one day while watching him he piped up with a very clear Dada. I was delighted of course and celebrated it, getting him to say it a few more times, but then I remembered my wife's disappointment. So, I spent the rest of the day working with him and a photo of her until the moment she came home.
He looked right at her after she set her things down and called out Mama. She broke down into tears and took him from me to cuddle him. To this day she has no idea that he said Dada first, and I'll never tell her otherwise
Tl;Dr: I lied so my wife would think our son said Mama first.

It's fine to not know how to pronounce stuff! If anyone else is wondering, Monet is pronounced like *mon • ay*, he was a famous French painter who has created some famous paintings such as "Water Lilies" and "Lady With a Parasol"

(I also wanted to add some other details like the paintings if people were actually curious enough to Google, so they could see some of his work compared to the Pikachu thing) but yeah, you definitely have a point.
