- In this video i show the setting up of a British army mosquito net cot tent and find ways to combine it with a British army bash. After some trial and error i got a good setup.
I got the tent for £13.75 from eBay, but you can get them from around £10 to £20 no problem.
I got the basha for £20 inc. delivery from Britishmilitarysurplus.com
Really good cheap, robust gear fro bushcraft and wild camps.

Great video mate, had the exact same idea but this is the only video I can find anywhere of someone actually trying it out. Really helpful
That tarp setup is fantastic
Your right .. good on you for doing this I was thinking myself would this all be possible .. the set up is similar to Litefighter 1 .. this way saves me buying that system basically
Bravo for attempting this 👏 this is exacly wot I do I'm always coming out with new ideas
Video of a set up I actually camped in coming soon. Finally slept in the cot tent. Watch this space.
@@RambloManiacs awesome 👌
I have too net UK army tent its 2,53 Kg and + armyrepellent (phermetrine impregnation 2,1%) is amazing, all ticks - stopped and killed 🙂 Saxon thanks for video, and greetings from czech.
@@armyrepelentcz4090 greetings my friend!
By the end that was a good set up. I've got the same bug net... fits my cot perfectly. Tarp is good too... use bungees. 👍 By the way if you delete the stretcher handles it cuts down lots of the bulk and it packs up smaller.
Great video, but I think you may need to get some more paracord 😂
Haha, not sure if I mentioned that
Why on earth is it that cheap? My Lifesystems Geonet was £80! I've been in the market for a new insect tent, so thanks very much for this review. Will fire a sub across, mate, and I hope all is well. Monty.
Military gear is always cheap mate! I guess it's probs twice the weight though. I really like that it's got so much height to it.
Thanks buddy
@@RambloManiacs It is lighter, smaller, and it has aluminum poles, but still... thanks again!
Very creative Mate.
This is why UA-cam is such a great resource for people like yourself to share your ideas and knowkede with others.
TYVM for sharing.

Cheers mate. Thanks for watching!
Great video bud. I have recently purchased this mosquito tent and looking forward to using it whilst wild camping this weekend, obviously I have a basha too so I'll use this video as reference so I can adapt it as best I can :)
Wicked. Did u use it in the end? I actually still haven't used it yet lol. I wanted to use it first on a site but haven't been able to due to covid etc
@@RambloManiacs same mate, covid has ruined everything lol. As soon as I get the chance I will use it and I'll let you know how it goes 😊
Noice, I think for getting in, better to take one of the corner pegs out and enter from that side/corner? Then again would be hard to to tie back down again when inside.
Nice one buddy great upload love the tent man
Thanks. It took a lot of brain power lol, got there in the end. Still in the woods two trees would really help
That's inspiring, mate. I'll be setting up bug tent with basha on the tub of my old Land Rover this weekend. The results will be published on www.youtube.com/@BestLRevermade
I'm 6 foot will I fit in it ?
Definitely.
How much does it weigh
