Excellent!!! Great mini trip and video. You planned the eateries ahead of time no time wasting trying to find a place you should have had a beer but now you can do another trip in the near future. This is a fantastic series you have we love it. 👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️
Hello my friend, I'm pleased the weather was good for you in Brussels those fries looked lovely & a decent amount too! Wow!! The waffle, oooh with chocolate sauce & ice cream what a winning combination!!! I could see you were enjoying!! The chocolates you bought, 2nd one you tried looked like marzipan filling. Excellent video, lovely filming, thank you for sharing& take care 💜 XX
@everydayimeating3407 If you want to find the best place to have coffee and cake.I would recommend doing a video in Vienna, which I just got back from recently. They have these old traditional coffeehouses which date back hundreds of years where all the famous philosophers and intellectuals would meet to drink coffee and discuss ideas. Beautiful city as well and plenty of flights from Manchester.
Another great vlog. Looks like you've started doing more planning and research before you go,which is giving you more time eating. I'm looking forward to your next adventure. 👍🏼
I will always remember getting of the train in Brussels and being hit by the incredibly irresistible, sweet bouquet of the waffle shoppes surrounding the station. That aroma will always remain with me in my olfactory memory. Thank you for stirring up fond memories.
Sunny Sunday from Los Angeles! 🙋♀️ Yaaay! We have a place in common! You went to my favourite waffle place! I've also been to Fritland. But my favourite pommes frites are found at Frit Flagey. I haven't been to your choclatier Yet. I always end up at Leonidas.
How about coming to Wales and trying our famous Welsh-cakes and a traditional Welsh stew called Cawl which goes way back to medieval times! There’s a few cafes/restaurants that serve it in Cardiff if you Google it. Or there’s Welsh rarebit. Or a hearty traditional Welsh breakfast with cockles and lava bread served alongside the bacon and eggs. We also have Glamorgan sausage. It’s a meatless sausage. I know the indoor market has the welsh-cakes. There’s also a Welsh cake shop there. Best to Google first to find out best places to get the cawl or the breakfast tho😊
Hey man! Looks like a beautiful city. Wow, what spectacular buildings! Looks like you had a really great time. Food looked super. Have you been to Germany - tried the schnitzel, pretzels, sausages, bienenstich (bee sting cake) and some German chocolate? Sound man. Hope you're just fine x x
Another great video, thank you. The waffles and chocolates looked delicious. I'm tempted to make my own trip over there. I would have mussels and chips as I think they are a Belgian speciality too😊😊
just got back from Brussels a few days ago. I got the Eurostar, takes you right into the heart of Brussels and border control is done after security before you board the train so it makes everything smooth when you reach your destination. can also get reasonable fares as long as you’re flexible on what time you’re able to travel. I always enjoy seeing these challenges though, I just couldn’t do it myself 😂
Am a Londoner and have visited Belgium. Been to Maison Dandoy myself... twice! Tried a Brussels waffle (topped with cooked strawberries and cream) and a liege waffle (I think it had syrup and lotus biscoff crumbs on it) on my 2 visits there. 2 different experiences - the Brussels one is probably better (cause of the light crispyness) and the liege Waffle is the more doughey, cakey and sugary variant. But Brussels was not the only place I went ;) Also took day trips via train to Antwerp, Ghent and Bruges but my hotel was in Brussels.
Loving your new videos. We have just come back from Cornwall where we met a family who had flown down from Stansted for £13. Why not fly down and try a pasty? Keep up the good work
Glad you had such a great trip, everything seemed as good a value as you could get except a €37 bus to Brussels seemed expensive. The Grand Place and the 3 eating places you obviously had researched very well and fantastic trip.Try Herrings and Dutch fries and sauce next😅
So much carbs and sugar!!! I would have bounced myself back to UK. Very informative video. My mum told me last week that she wants to see Brussels. Your video really helps me to see how long the transfer takes out of 'Brussels' airport. Will have to plan another way. Can't have her tired and grumpy. Thank you for your videos. Another successful trip! Yay!
Something you could try is quick burger. It's a French chain but they actually have one in Brussels airport right next to arrivals. We don't have them in the UK but they are sort of similar to Mc Donalds but also with things like chicken wings (bone in), the quality is incredible for a fast food place even the buns taste like they came from a bakery.
The minute you stepped off the plane I knew that wasn't Brussels Airport - a large, bustling modern, hub - but Charleois - a tin shed in the middle of nowhere 😃Trust me mate; Brussels Airlines straight into the city next time!
That was an excellent review! My only issue is with you using the "best" terminology after only experiencing both dishes for the first time. Keep up the good work.
The suggestion I sent earlier today seems to have vanished! For a closer to home visit, try Manchester's Northern Monk Refectory on Tariff Street for the Cardinal Rule American Biscuit (not what it seems!) menu. I discovered it recently- wow!- and it seems an ideal place for an epicurian like yourself to review. Another site asks "Is this the best sandwich in Manchester" which sounds like the sort of question you like to ask! Quicker than a day trip to Texas!
Have you ever bought anything at the Duty Free on these international trips? All of your food samplings looked great. Especially the Waffle, think it would have tasted great with a tea or coffee. Biggest surprise for me was the shuttle bus price. 37 Euros for a half hour journey. Glad you had a great day out! Will you try Scoused herring next in Holland? Or do you have something closer to home, i.e. Lava Bread in South Wales perhaps?
You should have gone for a steak the food in Belgium is the best in the world. I fly to Brussels and then a taxi to Antwerp several times a year and the food is off the charts they also have an insane amount of Michelin star restaurants in both cities.
Charleroi is miles from Brussels but, in my case, it was an advantage because I wasn't heading towards the city centre. That's one of the advantages of flying with Ryanair. In fact, Charleroi has some very good eating places although my favourite place for chocolate was Bruges.
Glad you enjoyed your trip to Brussels well it is a long way to go for fries nothing special and that waffle was again ok. Best part was the Belgium Chocolate so tell me is that all you had to eat all day if so with all that extra time that you had you could have got some decent food and drink.
You dont want to go to Charleroi Airport when visiting Brussels, its a seperate city miles away from Brussels itself. Ive made that mistake with Vasteras airport when I visited Stockholm as well!
@everydayimeating3407 I reckon a day in Vienna would make a good video. You could visit the famous coffeehouses in Vienna where the famous philosophers and writers used to meat in the 1800s that are still open to thos day, those places serve amazing cakes as well as great Vienese coffee, I was there a couple of moths ago, you can now.fly.from Leeds to Vienna now as well.
you went to Brussels but did not get and sprouts when you were there. so mixing pounds and euros is confusing so why not at the day of flight have the final amount trans into pounds
Don't know if I'm upset that I never went with you (we don't know each other readers) or that you have not gone to sample the very best Moules - Frites! Maybe I should watch the vlog first!! I absolutely love watching your vlogs.
Brilliant episode the fries looked great. How about Amsterdam .... they have Kibbeling which is like our battered fish ..but more like battered fish goujons ..they also do fries but with hollandaise sauce and krokets....apparently you can't beat the Dutch for snack street dishes ... they've also got a smoked type of sausage like a hotdog.

Where should I go next?

A good home cooked meal . What’s your favorite ❤
Amsterdam for bifter
How about travelling to Ireland to try Irish Stew
Berlin to try a Currywurst.
Deutschland

Fantastic vlog EIE. The fries looked delicious, as did the waffle. Yummy chocolates 🍫. Sorry for your long delay😢. See you next time 😊
Thank you 🤗
Enjoying your food adventures.
Thanks for watching!
You should visit The Bottle Of Sack in Sutton Coldfield atmosphere is nice and chill especially on Fridays and Saturdays plus the food is lovely
I can't believe you went to Brussels and didn't try sprouts 😊😊😊
Next time!
The Grand-Place looked stunning in the sunshine. I wonder if central Charleroi is just as beautiful? Great trip and views, thanks.
Nice one buddy👍I don't envy the cattle truck travelling and queuing, but it was worth it for something a little different ✌️
Thanks 👍
Yay a successful challenge !
Enjoyed that thank you. Love this format.
FYI - the old Lawnswood Arms reopens as Hickory’s Smokehouse on June 16th.
I like what you do, it's pretty cool. May your channel grow in leaps and bounds.
Another great food and travel adventure.

A great video, glad everything went well. For the next trip, How about Basel or Stuttgart to try the famous local asparagus?

Idea: Fly or take a fairy to the Netherlands to find the best 'stroopwafels'. Tip: The markets on saturdays for the fresh ones.
Ferry would be a good trip!

Always go to Brussels Zaventem airport amd not Charlroi Airport lol!
We neeeeeeed more Wetherspoons vs videos!!!
That is so true omg!!!
The Wetherspoons content is my favourite
I go absolutely ballistic when I see a Wetherspoons video pop up on my suggested videos 🤪🤪🤪
#gonnaexplodeifthishappens 🤪
I go to Wetherspoons for my birthday meal every year, please make more Wetherspoons videos!!

Great statistical sample on the frites
Charleroi airport is by far the worst airport I've ever been too. It's a shambles
The minute you stepped off the plane I knew that wasn't Brussels Airport - a large, bustling modern, hub - but Charleois - a tin shed in the middle of nowhere 😃Trust me mate; Brussels Airlines straight into the city next time!

Good job that Taxi sped up there 😂
I know! It was a close one

I haven't bought anything at the duty free yet. I would like to go to Holland
Had to laugh at the bus being more expensive than the flight
I know! lol
Now I know why I don't fly anymore. BTW couldn't you have flown from Leeds Bradford Airport?
It would be a lot more expensive and less frequent flights
I think you can get to brussels by train and local bus on a weekend ticket for 20 euro but takes an hour longer !
Get you in your cool shades!😅😎 The bus fare was a bit pricey and why nothing to drink? 🤔
I did get some bottles of water in between the food

You could have gone to Antwerp too, they also have great chips and waffles, and it's closer to England.
God bless your stomach !!! Chips and chocolate 😂
They were delicious! 😋

What camera and setup do you have?

you went to Brussels but did not get and sprouts when you were there.
so mixing pounds and euros is confusing so why not at the day of flight have the final amount trans into pounds
Went to Brussels without trying beligium beer? Or a larger 😮
I paid £5 for 12 Belgium chocolates in a fancy box from a Bruges chocolate shop in 1983!
For me Belgium is all about Moules Frites.
If you like good food, come to Horsham in west sussex!
i would say go to istanbul for the best kebab but that might be a bit far to go for a day. maybe Germany for the best hotdog or currywurst.
They're on my list of places to go!
Fly into zaventem international airports, I use Brussels Air.
Its more expensive to direct into Brussels
Good video but a little expensive looked very tasty 😊
Carbon footprint
Hey. I preferred it when you landed and asked a random for the best food 😂. Enjoyed your vid
So many people complained when I did that lol

I absolutely love watching your vlogs.
Should have had frites Mayo
Should have taken Eurostar.
Whats the price of a ticket?
It’s because they are fried twice
Mussels ????
France Paris for a choux bun
I did do a video going to Paris for a croissant but not choux bun. I'll have to look into it
How long was you in the Q for At 5:40
no mayo .
blackpool
How about France for some snails and frogs legs
Belgian frieten are the best in the world
The firs were good!
I’m only human.. I see Everyday I’m Eating has a new vid.. I watch 👍🏽🥯

I heard they use animal fat for,the fries...
Not Dublin mate. Change the description. Glad you enjoyed it.
4:45 Thanks Nigel Farage
Just shows how post Brexit its much harder to travel in Europe these days, I had to wait an hour to get into Spain through customs last year.
There’s always one!
Whereas in Rhodes it was in and out of customs!
