Thanks Jason for this request. Love listening to Red. He was one of the best story tellers there was. Little known fact, Red may have been born in West Virginia but was a big U of M fan (joke) 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the reaction
This is a first time listen for me, too. I knew what was coming as soon as she left. Such a sad song! But I took comfort in the love they had for each other. A lot of Country songs are sad due to losing a love, but usually because it doesn't work out. It's "nice" to hear one about lasting love. Just my opinion.
This always hits home, when my mom died my dad also had a heart attack and in the hospital almost willed himself to die to be with her, then the thought of me alone gave him the will to go on
Red is one of my favorites of all time great story teller thanks Jason
One has to love the great Red Sovine!
Thanks to you both Jason and Don.

So, Red Sovine was my childhood. My grandpa was a truck driver so I know his entire catalog. He’s the king of torture. Love him though.
Don't remember this one. I waited a while before listening to it. I knew it would sad.
I believe it started with "I'm only 17!"
