I've learned so much from this video for my own home garden! Thank you and you have one gorgeous farm!
Thank you very much. we are just now retired and starting a new life in the cut flower market of Virginia. Your video was very helpful.
Good luck David! It's a wonderful pastime to be growing cut flowers
I would love to know more about the Silver Water you mentioned that you put in the flower bucket!
Excellent video really enjoyed it.
Wow - those hydrangeas are amazing and seem to be going very well out in the open - I thought they needed a little shelter. Really brilliant video - thanks..
Thanks! Annabelle is good outside en so is Limelight (just out of breeder's rights! Happy propagating!). There are other varieties good for outside production, I would try Bodensee as well for colour. Good luck!
I loved watching this video.
Thank you - really helpful. Hoping to start flower farming next year in UK - just need to find the land. Really helpful video thanks. All my peonies are mixed- lost the labels...will try to plant them so they are colour matched!
Good stuff, thanks for sharing
So informative - thanks so much!
Thank you for shering your knowhow.
안녕하세요 함께 하면서 이어가겠습니다 ^^
Thank you for this video, you are very I formative. I am just starting my own journey in organic cut flower. 🌻🌻
Thanks Justine! Where will you be growing cut flowers?
awesome !
Very informative..thanks!
Awesome video and so informative.. thanks! Wish you would make more videos like this!
Erica Bush thanks! I'm planning new videos for the coming year. I live in Holland now (UK before) and started growing cut flowers again last year. Thanks for your feedback!
Great to hear! I've subscribed so I will follow along. Just getting started on my small scale flower farm here in Georgia, USA. Question... do you put your cut flowers into any type of solution, or just a bucket of cold water to hydrate for a few hours?
Erica Bush, either cold tap water, or tap water with citric acid to lower pH to 4. We're certified organic and we're not allowed to use any commercial hydrators unfortunately
You are so lucky!!! 🥺
can you make more video please. they're very beautiful.😍🐝🌻🍃🌹
I'm just starting my very small flower garden this year on my farm I only have four annual started I was wondering what elastic bands I need to use and where to purchase them I'm assuming Amazon would have them
Great video!! Does the alum powder work for all the flowers or you only use it for hydrangeas? Thanks so much!
Wonderful video! I am just starting a flower farm in the UK in the North East- where are you? Also, I would prefer non plastic options- is paper as good in your opinion? Thank you!
Beautiful flower. I have many bushes of Annabella. How do you price your flowers? Please respond.
Nice i get some flower seeds for cut flowers
I planted aweet peas this year...they grew...and i only got sporadic white flowers that look just like regular peas...i THINK THATNIS EHAT THEY REALLY ARE
What are those blue flowers near hydraenga?
Why my flower stem it to short only 15cm.?
Question... yarrow and several other flowers also like to go limp after cutting. Would alum help like it does with hydrangea?
Lark Song it's worth trying. Alum is one of the ingredients in some commercial hydrators, besides citric acid and sugar. I usually let things like yarrow hydrate in plain water or water + citric acid overnight in plastic sleeves. They usually are firm and straight the next morning.
Arjen Huese thank you! Love your videos! Peace...
how is that hanging blue tip plant is called? serenti?
It's called cerinthe! Lovely, isn't it?
Cerinthe is wonderful! Too bad i have never seen it on the webshop(Lithuania, Europe).
I think i will try to grow it myself.
I am living in Holland now, but yes you are right, it is not an item that the big Dutch growers grow. You won't find it in the webshops, but it is not difficult to grow yourself! If you're interested in growing cut flowers you might find the book I wrote interesting, it's called the Cut Flower Grower's Handbook and available from Amazon.co.uk 😊
