I now know how the Imperial Guard feels when they have to fight Necrons. Also, two little tips: You can hit one of their dropship's engines with rockets, which will cause it to go down and not spawn as many enemies. Devestators (the big armour troops) are also vulnerable in the groin area, not just the head)
I believe the weakpoint is around the waist. Similar to berserkers. I also found that as soon as you see a flare go up, you have more than enough time to call down and pick up an EAT to take out drop ships with. Adding on a tip of my own: Try the anti-materiel rifle! It takes out most automatons within 3 shots, 1-2 if you can aim it well.
all automatons have a weak headspot, save for the vehicles. If you can hit a Devastator or Hulk in the head you'll take out the droid brain and it'll go kaput. Just be wary of the Hulks because they explode after being brained.

When it starts to get heavy at 1:50 gives me so much energy, the music is as unrelenting as the bots marching at you. I could loop just the drops in this track for hours.

Aim for the heads, if you can’t aim for the head, aim for the backpacks or explosives. Towers and tanks are vulnerable on the backs of their turrets. Grenade launchers and auto cannons are the best heavy weapons to farm these tin cans. Mortar turrets are welcome, eagle bombs are a must, and shield generators of any kind are the difference between life and death.
I would personally recommend the anti-materiel rifle too. Leaves your backpack free and you can take out anything short of a tank with good aim/hitting it enough times

@@mlhx9181 I imagine anti-material is a good weapon for stealthing. spot and knock out the commissar(s) first to stop any drops from being called in, then pick off the rest from wherever you've chosen to hide out. though for outposts you'll have to go in and clear the factories yourself after picking off the commissars and any heavier bots in the area, assuming you don't just 500KG the outpost to destroy the factories. jump jet would probably also pair well with it, giving you more options for high ground to snipe from.

New Blood Tip: Try to eliminate them as possible and make sure some of them don’t shoot the flare. if they can gather formation and surrounded your squad, your position will get heavy attack it make you can’t go anywhere.
specifically look out for the ones that carry a pistol in one hand and a sword in the other. these are the commissars, and taking it out first drastically reduces the chances of a flare being fired(I'm not sure if the other varieties of bot infantry are actually capable of calling drops or if it's only the commissars)
I've noticed that the bots are insanely good when they're attacking, but do not have the same prowess when they are on the defensive. I highly recommend engaging these enemies on your own terms whenever possible, as the reverse can be unwinnable.
Nope, if they are not in the way or obstructing, don't make unnecessary fight. Running away is the best for the war on Western front. Most of the time they just ignore you when you're out of reach (except Motars) unlike the eastern where clearing is a must.

On higher difficulties, try not to clear bot drops completely if you cant clear them fast enough. Running away is always a viable option. Have some smoke eagles and smoke orbitals too to cover yourself from tank shells and rockets. They wont shoot if they cant see 🫡
I don't like Super Earth, but wearing the skulls of borderline child soldiers who don't know any better and butchering them en masse doesn't make the bots any better. The bugs are the true heroes.

They tried to pull an American Revolution type seccession from Super Earth and started reshaping themselves into Strogg-esque flesh and metal monstrosities, then proceeded to lose the war, got forced into the mines to pay for their... uhm, episode, and now 100 years later their robotic creations are taking up their CYBER COMMUNISM cause... by shoving civilians in cages and mass killing them when they don't just shoot them on the spot or send chainsaw man ripoffs to butcher them. I'm serious, just look into those weird cages you see at automaton outposts. You're going to see either dead SEAF soldiers (technically valid since enemy combatants?) or dead civilians (NO.)
