- In this first video of 2022 I'm showing you how to make a bird feeder out of clay. I throw it in two pieces, which I hang on top of each other later on. I explain the full process, so trimming and glazing is included.
The birds liked it, I hope you do too!
Bisque fire: 1020°C / 1868°F / cone 06
Glaze fire: 1220°C / 2228°F / cone 6

Thanks for this great idea
Wonderful and clearly presented.
I love this project! you have such a gift. Thank you as always for sharing your lovely work.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
Thank you so much for sharing this project! I can't wait to try to make one. You are very detailed and clear when you explain.
very cute. I'll make one for my Mom-in-law, she will love it.
Thank you! Have fun!
This is so cool! I’m going to attempt to make one. Thx for the tutorial
Awesome video; I love how precise you work!! It was fun to watch!! I also loved the bird feeder!!!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it :)
this is beautiful! :)
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tip with the roof. I also do these bird feeders, but without a roof. Since the bird feeder is hung up and you can also see the bottom, I glaze everything, except for the thin edge at the top and put it upside down in the oven. It always works (with one exception) without falling over and looks more beautiful.
That's a great idea! I was too scared that it would fall during the fire! I might try that in the future😁
I love the shape of this bird feeder. I was also thinking of making one but with a different design in mind.
Thank you! I would love to see yours!
Beautiful:)💙👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much!!😊
Love your videos ! Keep up the good work .😃
Thank you so much!!😊
As usual, everything is very neat! cool!))
Thank you!!🤗
Hi again and Happy 2022! love watching you work and your gorgeous creations, thanks again for your helpful tips. :)
Thank you!!🤗
Love it!
Thank you!!
The roof is important wherever it rains or/and snows.
love this project; can you tell me how much clay you use for each part ? thanks
Thank you! Unfortunately I didn't measure the clay, but I think the bird feeder was about 600 grams of clay and the roof 400 grams
Could you tell me how much clay you used for each part?
Love this so much! Thanks for sharing. Definitely want to try making one as I have many garden bird visitors and have been meaning to make an extra feeder. How much clay did you use for each part?
I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately I didn't measure the clay, but I think the bird feeder was about 600 grams of clay and the roof 400 grams😊
Do you remember how many pounds/grams of clay you used?
I'm not sure anymore, but I would use something like 450 grams for the bottom piece and 300 grams for the top piece :)
What are the dimensions of the bowl and the top would you know?
After it has been fired, the bowl is 13,5 cm width and the top 15cm. The clay that I use shrinks about 15% so the bowl would have been around 16cm and the top 17,5 cm.
Verkoop je ze ook? En zo ja wat is de prijs?
Nee, ik verkoop ze helaas niet. Dit is de enige die ik heb gemaakt.
