@@xringone9912 hard too when they take your FOID card away for a misdemeanor from 28 years ago after I had 3 FOID cards. Wasn’t until I applied for my CCL.
WOW! An all around fantastic episode guys. From the clarity and framing of the camera work to the 579 yard shot, you have set the bar very high! At first I wasn't sure whether you had hit that coyote at 579 yards judging by the way it took off running...but it started stumbling and finally piled up. Do you know how many foot-pounds of energy remains in the round you are using at 579 yards? Obviously it was enough to put the coyote down. Congratulations to all involved.
Nice camera work you guys! I really like the pullback to the shooter then zoom in on the coyote. Really helps to get a sense of distance and scale that way.
Great filming / hunting guys.. That 575 yard shot was epic.. That 6mm arc puts their lights out quick! Great cartridge it seems. I'm an old 243 guy, but for an AR 15 it makes me want to build one in that caliber. I hope that round takes off.. I'm worried it won't, so don't know if I'll build an AR in that round or not.. Great shooting guys.. Thank you for putting info in the description of what you use so I don't have to ask and can go right to the website.. I wish all hunters that film did the same.. Thanks again.. Great stuff.. Regards from South Central Indiana. USA Tim
Awesome, Awesome, awesome!! Awesome videos as always and killer shooting!! A 579 shot is impressive but having to hold 5’ off and still get it is killer!!
On the long shot with the scope footage where the reticle moved, was that the scope calibrating for the distance? Would be great to have a video explaining in more detail how you quickly make these long distance shots.
Yes it was and will keep that in mind for a future video! I have all the ballistic information plugged into the ATN X-Sight scope which has an attached ATN ABL 1500 rangefinder that bluetooths with the scope. All I have to do is hit the ranging button on scope which makes the ABL rangefinder range and moves the reticle for the range and load I'm shooting for a dead on hold.
I have this load plugged into the ATN X-Sight Optic we are using. It had the ATN ABL 1500 Rangefinder attached. With this combo all I do is press one button on the scope that tells the Rangefinder to range with instantly moves the reticle for the load and range for a dead on hold. If you look at the bottom right corner of screen on the coyote at 579 you can see the range changing and reticle move before I take the shot. I just had to account for windage.
You know young sir it's so wonderful watching your videos I used to Shoot coyotes in Nevada around the ruby mountains and that was so much fun between coyotes and Bob yes you make good memories come back to me and I appreciate it thank you so much for your lovely wife and you and you're extremely wonderful young daughter I think she's cool she's gonna be a Coyote Hutton fool haha big fan

This comes in handy when I'm calling as I don't have to keep my hand on the rifle so I can scan with binoculars and run the remote until the coyote has committed enough then go to rifle.
The Lehigh Defense 85 Grain Controlled Chaos Bullets we are using do not tear them up bad at all at ARC speeds. The top half fractures into multiple petals inside chest cavity and the base exits everytime usually leaving a slightly larger than caliber sized exit hole.
@Coyote Down good to know thanks. I shoot alot here in Wisconsin. Shoot .223 55 grn vmax and I love them. Was looking at the 6 arc for my next build. Might have to pull the trigger...
The efficiency and the ballistics on that 6 ARC is astounding.....this is the second video I've seen of yours using it. I load for a ton of different calibers and have several guns in many of them, a couple of which are AR's. I just picked up a set of dies for the ARC and soon another AR upper for it as well. A bolt gun will soon follow I'm sure...possibly an ICOTec too......nice job on the hunt !

Prior to electronics, I hooked up with Kerry Carver on a predator website and he sent me several to try back here in the east. We sure do appreciate the positivity and will keep them coming! Really like the Creedmoor for the longer shots as it anchors coyotes well at extended ranges and bucks the winds exceptionally well! The ARC still has its merits though. For fur hunting it doesn't tear the hides up hardly at all with these 85 Lehighs, it's a much lighter platform, quieter and has less recoil for a fantastic shooting experience overall! No problem!
Couldn't imagine predator hunting without a suppressor anymore. We take allot more Doubles, Triples and Quads with a can on. Its such a useful tool for the predator hunter.
Just found out about your channel, incredible videos I-‘m from Italy and we don-‘t have coyotes here, but where I live there are a lot of hogs on the mountain and people hunt them because they do serious damage on small fruit plantations and small mountain farms, other than being dangerous for people. Thank you we will keep them coming ! The Lehigh Defense bullets we are using in this vid produce some wicked wound cavities.
