So you CAN make a 1 inch barrel .223 weapon. But why? Here is the best I could think of:
1) Small and portable, easy to conceal
2) Mousegun size suggests use within 5 yards... less is better... so sights are not an issue
3) 95% of the powder burns outside the barrel so if you miss, you have blinded everyone but yourself because you knew to close your eyes.
4) Huge muzzle blast will deafen everyone in a 30 foot radius so you can run away unheard (and unseen: see #3)
5) Heavy trigger makes sense. This is an ultra short range weapon with no safeties, not a target gun.
Conclusion: This is not a "self defense gun", this is a "Blast and run" gun.

The only thing I see about this stupid gun... An *assassin's* weapon. It would have absolutely no other use. it has too short a range and lousy aiming for hunting... And it's too loud, inaccurate and powerful for home defense. It's strong enough to punch through many kinds of Kevlar.
The world does not need such a useless weapon.
I can tell you guys are libtards. this is a totally useful gun. the derringer has been around for a hundred years. great for self defense.
Okay... So we're blinding assuming a stranger's politics now... I don't have a problem with guns, I have a problem with *useless* guns. I would prefer pretty much any other multiple shot gun to this crap. The derringer was invented to shoot another when caught cheating at a card table. It had small range and accuracy because you only needed to shoot someone unarmed a couple feet away. There's no reason to fire a single, badly-aimed rifle bullet inside. Once you spooged your single round past his head through two walls and through the gas line of your kitchen, he's shot you twice, or stabbed you 4-5 times. Done.

You would think that by not needing all that room for the ammo and lock-work that they would have enough room to design a smoother trigger mechanism.

Wow, someone invented the pistol. Mind blown. Except it is a single shot. And only fires a small diameter round that depends on high velocity from a rifle barrel to be effective, but now travels slow, because the barrel is short. And all that gunpowder is wasted by burning beyond the barrel, temporarily blinding the shooter, so he can't see to reload and reacquire the target because he missed the first shot because the trigger looks like it has sand in it. And also your music sucks. And your fingernails look like they are infected and way too short. And you are trembling in fear before firing. And you don''t show the target afterwards to see if you hit it. Also you don't say anything about why this is a good idea. Other than that, great job.

I was able to see the bullets that were shot reflect off of the metal plate. They all reflected adjacent to where the guy was standing.
That gun is literally too much of a hassle.. Seriously...

The gun is cool, all except for why in the hell would you use .223 ammo? If it was chambered in a hand gun round it would make more sense. The recoil is just ridiculous, you can see how bad the guy is shaking before he fires
zach delarocha .....He's a real nail biter that should've cleaned his nails and fingers before the video. The recoil is ridiculous plus not very good for self defence, too long to reload.

its a single shot pistol that shoots .223, which is the caliber AR15's or M16's, its a rifle round, which is why its so long, lots of power but really useless without a long barrel to stabilize the round, which is why there is a tremendous recoil, knowing the big bang is coming, the shooter is shaking, bracing for the impact, meaning he probably won't hit the broad side of a barn. Basically the gun is a novelty

The gun is great, but to obtain it you have to go through all the regulations of a gun that can shoot dozens of bullets. So why would anyone want a gun that shoots just one? Answer: they wouldn't. Unless they want to just have it for single load and fore target practice. Which is all its really good for. I am in New York and it would actually be easier for me to buy a helicopter than to buy even this gun. If I wee to go through the trouble to try and get a pistol license, I am certainly going to go for whatever has the largest capacity I can.
traderjoes It shoots rifle bullets. It's not about regulations or anything, just that it shoots LR casings. Still, I agree with you. Much rather just get a large pistol that holds a dozen rounds or more.

you can buy a plastic 12 gauge flare gun pistol anywhere marine products are sold....they make adaptors for 12 gauge shotguns to shoot other rounds like 9mm 45acp.....20 gauge etc , turning the flare gun into another gun is as simple as sliding one of them in . no wait , no paper work.......good for home protection

I can see how how America is ready if a return to the single shot non-automatic weapon, now if the bullet exploded and blew your hand off as well it would really save lives.
