When I was in high school in machine shop, the first thing we had to make was a common screwdriver. I'm sure we all had one at home. We had all kinds of them on the farm but it was still a worthwhile exercise. I took it home, threw it into the toolbox in the shop and forgot about it. A couple of years later, my dad had it in the house and was using it for some job in the basement.
