The 1st IHG that in gave me a scare when the girl spawned up your shoulder together I don't know, where you surprised by it or the thrilling sound was too loud?
I did miss a couple of these, or missed the ending(s) because your voice soothed me "in sound mind," so thank you for putting these together. Some great choices! 👍
Honestly you're one of my favourite gamers to watch, you come across really intelligent and seem genuinely nice and it's nice to see someone really enjoying playing all these games! Keep it going! Because if I run out of content, I'll be quite sad hahaha. Also side note, the face cam clips you do at the end are my favourite bit to see your reaction to some of the scares XD
Honestly burger and frights is one of my favourites of the year. For some reason the concept of a horror game where you just ride your bike but it still manages to have a nice plot and spook you is so unique and attractive to me... And I love the bell
Glad to be one of the regular viewers who has watched all of these videos before, and I definitely agree with the fact that these are some of the best indie horrors from 2021, thank you for making our year better Chris 😊
@Benjamin O'Neal Haha a bit lack of sleep to do something I like isn't a bad deal imo, but with college it's been more difficult for me to keep up the consistency of my own videos lately.
@Benjamin O'Neal It might be the fact of fast watching, like fast reading, you know, people who read 1 book in an hour, same with videos, that's why there is a speed option, which unfortunately defeats the purpose of watching the quality, but it helps with the quantity - for example, you can speed up 20 minute game and watch the gameplay in 10 minutes - it will save time, plus you can consume more, although it will give you ADHD at some point. Edit: In my humble opinion, it's better to stick to 1 main path. Stella does no commentary videos, which are a bit confusing, personally, it's not so much content as it is just a revise of the game, but yes, commentary videos are much harder, especially to edit. It's really impossible to watch so much and do your own too, so, I think she uses that principle, which is effective.
I’ll be honest. I was hoping you would do something like this. But it was more like… I was hoping you’d do a top 10 games you liked doing this year ((slideshow)). I’m blown away by your 110% effort into your videos. Thank you for this! Even though I’ve seen it all, I’d be happy to re-experience them again knowing these were your favorite choices! Have a hecking awesome weekend CJU!
Hey CJU, I’ve been a silent viewer on your videos for years and years and have watched you grow. This video truly made my evening after a long day of work and going to a looong Christmas party. You’re one of my favourite UA-camrs. 🥰
A three hour video of older awesome videos put together? Christmas has indeed come early! Thank you for this! Great content! Great idea! Great UA-camr!
This was honestly delightful. I initially thought it was just a list of your top 10 indie horror games, but it was a compilation. I really like this format of combining these shorter games in one video, and I hope you do more!
As a regular viewer, I watched all these videos! It's great to see a compilation! It was a year with lots of indie games! Some very good, others not so much lol, but many!
I found you early this year, and you have become my all-time favorite youtuber. I've binge-watched Nigel's adventures, watched a giant stone chase someone through a parking lot, I've whistled along with you in Deadly Premonition, held my breath in anticipation every time you've searched a toilet, and all in all had a grand time. I'm so excited to see you approaching 100k! I'm happy for you, but I'm also happy for all of those lucky people with months of binge-watching ahead of them.
What a great comment! You really capture the fun of watching CJU's videos, and I relate to everything you said. (I still laugh every time I remember the standing stone scampering through the petrol station lot. 😂)
I watched each one of these videos and loved them so much I am rewatching this entire video. So far 1 hour into it and loving every second. I'd definitely watch another compilation like this.
CJU sees "Tuonela" is a board: Is that Spanish for tunnel or something? Baahahaha, the Spanish for "tunnel" is "túnel". Wasn't Tuonela like the land of the dead or sth? This is what listening to Amorphis has given me. 10/10 CJU, you're the best and you deserve way more than we could ever give you.
Chris, you should consider starting a membership on the channel! Would love to see you upload videos there where you keep the face cam on for the full video
I appreciate this gift, Chris... so many good little gems you've shared with us over 2021. I watched it all again because I enjoy your commentary and humor. Thank you for the all of the joy, laughter, and scares since I began watching in 2013 (Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs was where I started with this channel). You've helped me through some very rough times, some really dark parts of my life (like the break up of my 11 year relationship), and I want you to know that I appreciate all of the hard work you put into this wonderful channel. I love this community, love you, Chris! Hoping you and your family/friends stay happy and healthy. Happy Holidays to you and yours, I can't wait to see what 2022 brings!
I'm pretty happy with these selections honestly 'cause most of this Year's game were crazy good. And some wonderful Terrible Indi horror games. Can't wait for the Cju's Game of the Year.
@@ItsYourPal In terms of Horror titles, it has to be Tormented Souls - Village didn't look promising from the start, really unimpressed with the direction they took with that one.
CJU, I've been watching your videos since I was a sophomore in high school. I'll be graduating with my bachelors in science degree soon. Thank you so much for entertaining me for all these years!!! Here's to 100k in 2022 🎉🎉
I have watched most of the games you play more than once anyway, I loved watching all these games in one video. Thanks Chris for the last five years of your great videos. 100k coming very soon and I’ll be there for it. Much love to you.
Holy shit a 3 HOUR VIDEO?! u really do love us!! I found you, while I was looking for help for a game I was playing, you had just dropped the first video and it was EVERY type of help!!" Song of. Am I gonna thumbs up a 3-hour video of Chris' favorite heart-pumping indie games? Uh...does Father Christmas wear a holly wreath and sometimes ride a goat?! 😂 🤣🤣Happy Christmas in advance to you, Chris, and to all the CJU crew!! P.S.--I'll be using this video to help me sleep from now until ♾️. Thank you, Chris!
Thanks a lot for the compilation! I think I missed a couple of these (or at least I don't remember the names) so I'm going to go check them out later! ♥
Great selection! I didn’t see “In Sound Mind” but once I noticed you were making a compilation of whole playthroughs and not just editing highlighted moments I definitely understand why that wouldn’t be in this vid. 💜 Heavily enjoyed revisiting these in one neat vid. This is the first time that I've seen "Next Door", and I gotta say, that even if the latter part wasn't as accurate as the manga, they've still done a good job capturing its essence. After that segment where the girl encountered the loud neighbor cowering on the floor, he supposedly moved the next day, and she occupied his apartment unit on the 2nd floor. Happy to be rid of that dude and able to now study in peace, she noticed the hole and that whole segment of her peeking was accurate. Instead of being attacked from the window though, all of its limbs shoots off in various trajectories on the girl's apartment walls and it killed her.
Burgers: still scary & loved your read of "Head home"; Security Booth: still a fun one as well-love that you got to flashback to your job in the past; Dispatch: the child voice acting is a bit off, but-interesting and since i know some actual dispatchers, the types of calls are spot on; Nightmare Shift: and yet, you go back....SCP-the delight in your option to leave-ha! I do find it funny that they give you the instructions about best sound and visual until after you have completed; Spot H9-worth it all for the dragon PSA; Into the Dark was good because it was subtle and didn't require orchestra stings except for once-the loud noise thing never works for me-just makes me cross; Building 71 was good, thanks. and the slide was great, even if a second watch.
Burgers and Frights is just the best, and not only cause In the Mouth of Madness is my favorite horror movie and it gives me major Carpenter vibes. It just does everything right. One of my favorite games you played this year. I also really liked the one where you're working in a grocery store and you can only see the monster out of the corner of your eye, but I'm a bit foggy on the name. Oh! And the one where you're trapped in the apartment. There were some pretty good games this year.

Hi there! I stumbled upon your channel just recently during my covid quarantine. I enjoyed your indie horror videos, esp these compilations! Love from Indonesia❤️
I believe that SCP-087 had a feature that lights would only radiate a specific level of light no matter how powerful; exactly enough lumens to not see the next floor above or below. It isn't a bad flashlight, it's an anti-flashlight atmosphere.
Wow. Loved the 1st game with the cyclists. Darkness, and Building 71 as well. What a wonderful way to curl up with my blanket and my little doggy. Thanks so much. ⛄❄☃️
I been a subscriber for a long time now and I still haven’t seen all your videos yet, some I only learn about after hearing you mention them in current videos. So some of these is a first for me which makes it more enjoyable 👏👏👏
i've been watching EVERY single video of your channel, every f****** day since 2018 when you played the sinking city. All of your videos are just great. With all the effort you put in them, plus the top notch comentary... i mean, thanks a lot. I hope one day i get a better salary so i can support you monthly on patreon because maaaan, there's a lot of good content in your channel. Congratulations in advance in your 100k subs, you deserved it. And judging by the the time since you've been uploading, i wonder why this amount of subs didn't come earlier.
Hey Cju, love your videos even though I didn´t watch any in a long time. It´s huge fun going full "steam-dumpster-diving" with you and finding all those hidden Indie-Horror-gems! I did watch HATCH though and that must have been my favorite (watching) and would put it on this list because it was so hilarious, mysterious and funny and your comments made me giggle a lot, even though (like you said) tedious to play. I would love for you to make a similiar list for all the "series" games you played, because In Sound Mind seriously needs to be on one, even if it would just be a "best of" including half of your first video each game. Cheers!
You definitely should give some love to the big games you can't add to the video too. Maybe you could make a more conventional top games list for them where you give a separated narration from a script. Here are some of my favorite games that i think should be on the list "the wine", "tormented souls", "mundaun", "burger & frights", "chasing static", "depth 6", "at dead of night", "the alien cube", "night delivery"
Thank you for the compilation! I’ve watched all these when you first uploaded them so this video is perfect to fall asleep to and I mean that in a good way!
I love when games do the silent "jumpscare". Ya know, spawn a monster without the sound and make the gamer shit his pants out of their own volition when they decide to turn around
Reminiscence is my added vote to this list of indie horror games 2021. It's probably the only one that actually got a scream out of me while watching in years LOL.
I started watching your channel for the Syberia playthrough and ended up watching much more... and still am! I hope you will play the new Syberia when it comes out( even if the third one was.... bad )
I only played 2 horror games this year (because I'm a big baby, I usually just watch you play them) but Subway Midnight was an incredible one, if you are interested in suggestions :)
Well this is a Christmas treat and no mistake! Honestly, the best 'lets player' right now - bar none - is CJU. My thanks for keeping us entertained with honest videos free from the screams and squawks we had to endure from others. Cheers, and merry Christmas!
I might get 100k subscribers in January. When I reach that milestone I'm thinking I'll do an Ask Me Anything Q&A. How does that sound?
If I'm honest, this sounds fantastic!
I watch you all the time now so, yes please!👍

u should do top 10 game of year chris
It's nice to be able to revisit all these in one place. If I had to pick a favorite from you for the year it would be the "In Sound Mind" series
You know what you should do? A tier list!

What would you have added to your top 10?
I definently would of added mother to the list. Absolutely love the games style

I would add anything from Emika. All your playthroughs were fantastic.
Oh and mortuary assistant

I did watch HATCH though and that must have been my favorite (watching) and would put it on this list because it was so hilarious, mysterious and funny and your comments made me giggle a lot, even though (like you said) tedious to play. I would love for you to make a similiar list for all the "series" games you played, because In Sound Mind seriously needs to be on one, even if it would just be a "best of" including half of your first video each game.
Cheers!
Thanks! Yeah, In Sound Mind would probably be top of that list 😀
watched most of them but I would watch or listen them more often just to hear Chris comments xD
Almost 100k subs nice! Liking the compilation video.
Thank you for the compilation! I’ve watched all these when you first uploaded them so this video is perfect to fall asleep to and I mean that in a good way!
that 2. game was awsome.first time watching you.+ 1 new subscriber
Me excited to watch all these videos again for the fifth time 🤣
I never clicked so fast , 10!
I love when games do the silent "jumpscare". Ya know, spawn a monster without the sound and make the gamer shit his pants out of their own volition when they decide to turn around
It's so much more effective that way.
❤❤❤Thank you soooo much love these comps so much!!❤❤❤
Liked before watching? Heck yeah. But then again, I've already watched all of these before and will watch them again 😂
Omg! This is so amazing. I am excited to watch. 😎😎😎👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🔥🔥🔥
Out of all of these lovely indie horror games of 2021, my favorite gameplay was Dispatch. What a creative and enjoyable game. :)
I'd absolutely love to play a full-length version of that concept.
Oh my, a three hour video....what to do............*clicks play*
The music at the beginning of The Building 71 Incident reminds me of the records I have for my 1916 Edison Machine.
i reckon like with the security booth gameplay, you can share short stories if you can relate, they're interesting and more personal
I love these types of videos, keep it up!
*Looks at length of video* Oh, how you love us! Believing with you for that 100k milestone. You deserve it.
Awesome!!! So excited to watch this tonight
All I want for Christmas is a best of face cam highlights 2021. Please Cju Santa 🎄
CJU i love it when you kinda freak out lol i enjoy watching you And i have joined your Discord channel :-)
You'll enjoy the new montage video I'll be releasing then 😉
Reminiscence is my added vote to this list of indie horror games 2021. It's probably the only one that actually got a scream out of me while watching in years LOL.
thanks for bringing us the creme de la creme, also you are the best playing horror games
Always interested in suggestions, thanks 👍
Cat from Next Door is Junji Ito's cat, he wrote manga about his two cats and this one was terrifing him xD.
8:53 "Oh, he's fuckin' dead....... Damn, this is COOL!!"
xD
I'm a regular viewer but i rewatch your videos all the time 😊❤
Well this is a Christmas treat and no mistake! Honestly, the best 'lets player' right now - bar none - is CJU. My thanks for keeping us entertained with honest videos free from the screams and squawks we had to endure from others. Cheers, and merry Christmas!
