    I have struggled with reading rhythms and syncopation my whole career. What I have found helps is playing sheet music of songs I am familiar with to see how the rhythms look in note form...Ragtime music is my favorite for this exercise and I can now recognize what a certain group of notes should sound like rhythmically....it is really great...
