The way farming was been portrayed to us was to restrain us from farming but that really hurt our economy today, farmers were seen as uneducated people that is why their farming those perception still runs in peoples vein up-till date. But lack of education makes a farmers not to be fruitful in his/her skills. I wish I have a land for farming.
As Gov Umo Eno is planning to complete the 18 storey-building started by his predecessor, Udom, in Lagos; may I ask about the importance of such a building in Lagos after all Lagos is no longer the capital of Nigeria. But, before u embark on this project, ensure that u build at least 10 of this same edifice or better in Uyo. Lagos is adorned with skyscrapers, we only have functional one in Uyo and another in Ikot Ekpene. Can Akwa Ibom State be beautiful? The people also need this type of building; a flyover along Oron Road, Ikpa Road, and many other locations in Uyo...
Lagos!!! Big mouth Lagos!! The supposedly 5th largest economy on the African continent! Look and see!!!! This highway in Akwa Ibom is exactly the kind of road network that the Lekki Free Zone area needs right away! Not the pissy two lane " Espress " road that they have at the moment! With the emergence of the deep sea port and the Dangote refinery, not to mention the new airport, that area is bound to explode into a beehive of serious business and economic activity! Cars, trucks, tankers and the likes will converge on that corridor! This sort of road ( this beautifully constructed road) is what Lekki Lagos needs! Without such roads, there would be a horrid strangulation of traffic and a terrible gridlock that would negatively impact on the area and Lagos at large! A word ( and indeed a video) is enough for the wise!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
Until the view of nigerian politics as the most lucrative profession is being truncated, there no way we will be able to commucate good economic values to our next generation. No one will struggle through nigerian institution with the help of struggling parents and want to go back to the archaic ways of farming. when we stop making politics lucrative and make agriculture attractive and lucrative , thats when we will know the values of our farmlands and end of selling farmlands to move to the city
True... But who will end it? Society is oblivious to how much Nigeria is losing while waiting for the politicians and politics to change. I say let's start with ourselves, and then our offspring... Who knows what will happen years from now? 🤔 Thank you for contributing, I look forward to more of this ☺️❤️
I concur!! In many parts of the world, the farmer class are an elite and monied group! Our mindsets need to change! Younger people should embrace farming including fish and poultry farming as a means of existence and a way of life ! Our unemployment in Nigeria is down to our aspiring "Ajebutter" ways ! It will shock you how many Nigerian students are studying (or studied) "mass comm( communication) or business administration! These are almost pointless courses that cannot secure graduates a job , let alone allow them to create a job! We need more impactful courses and programs that can make a change in people's lives! Farming, carpentry, electrician, masonry, bricklaying are some of the courses we should expose and encourage young Nigerian students to embrace! If not , (Sapa) suffering go continue! 👊🏾🇳🇬!
