What a day to have a Lynx episode. I get an email this morning that my Benvenn replacement screen shipped and then my buddy hit me up to let me know he finished 3d printing the Lynx 2 battery cover I needed to replace the one I lost 20 years ago. Now I get to watch Bithead espouse the virtues of the Lynx. What a time to be alive.
Every sci-fi film Tom Cruise was in has been awesome. 1.) Oblivion 2.) Minority Report 3.) War of the Worlds 4.) Vanilla Sky is secret Sci-Fi 5.) Edge of Tomorrow aka Live, Die, Repeat
Nice cave logo avatar. Have you ever played their game Steep Slope Sliders for saturn? Super underrated. Also unusual because cave mainly makes shmups but once upon a time they randomly produced a snowboarding game
yes First Blood! rewatched a few months back it holds up pretty well. It was filmed in the wilderness outside Vancouver Canada when i was a kid the restaraunts had signed pics of Sly and they just put up a monument. Ultimate buddy sleepover movie!
We have a 187 in progress...Oh wait never mind it was the Atari 2600! Bithead Comedy Gold!!! The Lynx BMX was brutal! Keep up the great work we appreciate you brother!
I can't believe how good the Atari version was. And the surfing was hilarious... "I got it figured out!" (Louie Louie starts playing again) "What's going on??"
Great episode as always. Oh yeah California games, had it for the Sega. Never knew they made so many versions. Thanks for helping me through the workday 👍
Always tried to get that speed up and nail a triple spin in surfing on the Lynx version, and BMX was so insane with the speed, flips, and spins! I just was out of school in '89 and had my first full-time job and a JC Penney credit card for clothes. I saw the Atari Lynx in the JC Penney Christmas catalog that year it came out... I charged that sucker and a few games to the card... and it probably took 5 years to pay it off with the interest back then! Yes, it was worth it.
The Sci-Fi Tom Cruise movie was "Edge of Tomorrow". I think that's the one you were thinking of. Pretty underrated movie. Emily Blunt's fine ass didn't hurt any, either. Now, after this comment, it's back to our regular scheduled programming. Nothing gets us BH1K'ers through a Sunday like a new Yessie Jeffreys show.
@@Deekaid True. Minority Report was also great. I think I liked Edge of Tomorrow a little more, cause I'm all about aliens, but let's face it, Tom Cruise does make some good movies. Even if he's a bit of a loon at times. As far as Total Recall goes, one of my fav Arnold movies. Even my grandma loved it.
I had one friend who owned a Sega Master System, and this was one of the games he had. I loved this game. I would play this all the time at his house and got really good at it. It was such a blast to do the flips in BMX. Anyway, I talked my cousins into getting this game for the NES. They were always getting games and talking them into getting games I wanted them to get was easy. Anyway, they finally did get it, and when I played it I remember it not being as good.
California Games on the Atari 2600 is by far my favorite version of the game. I used to play the hell outta that downhill bmx game. You can get super fast and a shit ton of flips going. Enjoyed the video like always man.
Bit is like the friend I played w/ back in the day while listening to Iron Maiden on CD on a massive stereo system and he would rage like no other. I would be uncomfy but feel bad for the guy b/c he sucked at games.

I'm not sure i played California Games until 1990. One lad up the road was lucky enough to have been bought a Lynx. It was ridiculously impressive at the time yeah
Back in the early 90s, Christmas was coming up and my mom had bought me a lynx over home shopping network. My brothers found it in her closet and brought it out for me while she was at night school to be a nurse. California games, in my humble opinion, was better on lynx than nes. When it comes to California Games l remember it well. I got the Atari Lynx with my first paycheck when l was 17 and it was such a good packing game for the console. And like many here, l knew of the Nintendaaaa version but l was amazed it had come out for the 2600 and with the limitations it had, they did a good job with it. Always great to see these shows when you focus down on one particular title and look at the many variations BH 🤔👌🏻 Anyways, another smooth episode brother and as always, keep on sippin' 🥃
Yessie is a friend... Yeah, I know he's been a good friend of mine... But lately something's changed It ain't hard to define Yessie’s got himself a new barber, and he’s gonna give him a piece of his mind.....
I remember when Bithead picked that boombox up from the yard sale. And have watched the slow degradation of it both cosmetically and functionally. (Those boomboxes probably go for $200+ in good shape.....which it was, lol) Speaker screens all busted out, blue tape on it now, sound barely works, tape speed is all kinds of fucked up. The fact it still plays tapes on any level is a goddamn miracle as many times as Bit has put the broom handle through it.
I never got into day-time TV. I saw very little of it. But I think that there was a point where shows like Oprah were crossing over and competing with trashier talkshows like Montel and Springer. Like; Oprah was trying to one-up them with crazy celebrities like Cruise. Cruise was on-fire in Tropic Thunder. His sci-fi movie was called Groundhogs Day 2. It was good.
as an example of how blunt us spanish folks are... there was a neighborhood guy who lost an eye in a tragic incident. Within a day of showing his face in public, they started calling him the million-dollar-man (because of that last shot in the credits from the tv show)
