It's nice that even when the game does generate twins that it manages to make a number of cosmetic differences including different brooches! Hats and swords only seem to come in one colour though.
You could sell your potions to Schroomy and Herbygirl. They always have gold for you as well. I've been wondering for a while why you always send them away without "milking" them, just like all the other merchants too. 😅
One thing that I notice on Classic Diff, because I have so much seeds now to grow, I raked up some good amount of gold around 100k but it just because I am such a hoarder But, the framerate, oh dear the framerate, it's possibly because of my potato laptop but at certain points, everything became much slower n staggered Not helping that so many potions and ingredient accumulate, might need to reduce the gold amount or the crops planting Anyway, another great upload ! Cheers Killrob
Those are big stacks! :D Maybe you have decorated a lot so that the physics engine has to work overtime to make sure your stuff doesn't fly off? Thanks! :D Cheers
@@KillrobPlays It is one of the main issues ! I forgot that I putting all those potion racks in the shop so it looks nicer, guess the frame drop hence the amount of potion being displayed But I couldn't resist looking fancy xD
If Im not mistanken (as I was about current haggling rules) bulk brewing nigredo is only usefull for when you want to change the recipe for later substances (crystals and salts) - it seems marginally useful. Have I missed some use for nigredo?
So... Can you fertilize an infinite amount of times the herbs that let you make the growth potion to make an infinite amount of growth potion in the same day?
Huh... I decided to try suffering difficulty. I managed to get to level 64 on day 12/13, a little bit ahead of you in terms of level but with half as much gold (which makes sense because suffering difficulty) I thought i wasn't playing all that optimally, but I guess the main difference is i focused pretty hard on squeezing through one of the gaps to clean out some of the biiiig exp books while mapping out the whirlpools out there. I managed to get through the west gate with just 13 ingredients and only the 6 starting herbs (I daved thr recipe of course, always save the recipe for squeezing through the gaps without crystals!) but im pretty sure it can be done in 12 starting ingredients (no madshrooms or witch shrooms) since i wasted most of a firebell to gain a tiny bit of safety margin at one point Mayyybe as low as 10? Yummy yummy giant exp books and big exp for reachi g effects far ahead of where you're supposed to be. XD Tldr:spending 12-13 ingredients to squeeze through the west gate to explore is totally worth it.
Pretty sure bulk brewing and selling to merchants is better and more worth the time than trying to figure out how to crush different ingredients efficiently enough to reach somewhere that I don't want to be all the time. Also, if you're using Witch Shrooms to go west, you're doing it wrong.
@@Dyanosis i might have explained something poorly but i only had the 6 starting herbs and shrooms. No witch mushroom was available. But having witch mushroom and mad cap makes it a lot easier to squeeze through the winding passageways. The way i see it, i want to squeeze through those gaps and map those areas and their whirlpools out at SOMR point, and they only get so much easier with more ingredient varieties. Only when you get the crystal grotto can you ignore them entirely. I may as well do it at a time when the big exp books are still valuable to me. I even considered trying to make one of the philosopher pain recipes super early and just leaving it downstairs instead of saving the recipe, but if something went wrong and i made rainbow p-goop and lose the recipe id probably scream XD
@@KillrobPlays i know right? Its kinda surprising that more people don't go for them sooner in their playthroughs. ...i also went after the necromancy effect. It's higher tier than most other effects, but unlike luck you can make it perfectly without oil. I haven't done the math on the exp, but its very close to as good per ingredient price wise as strength 1 stoneskin 3, but seems to give more exp per. Im imagining an entire burgeoning industry (or several) based on cheap undead labor because of a brilliant but out of touch alchemist who has zero idea of what anything is worth who accidentally flooded the market for necromancy potions for a hundredth of what they're actually worth. "Necromancy potions? A thousand gold? You must be joking I can produce fifty of them per day with the weeds growing in my garden, i planted a few extra firebell and now its everywhere and JUST WON'T DIE! Ahem, can i interest you in some standard healthy plant potions? Or maybe a few necromancy potions for 40 gold each? Hah, and ti think i was selling them for 20 gold each last week, what a fool i was" And then the merchant just nods and smiles because they don't want to damage the goose laying golden eggs in their laps. XD
Selling all those necro potions to merchants and still being considered the good guy is a little dubious! xD I'll go out explore some more in the next episodes now that I have all the base ingredients. :) Cheers!
Hmm, dont forget your unusual combo potions you have sitting on the floor in your shop. They might be worth something to a merchant. [EDIT: Oops I see you figured it out 30 seconds later.] 😉

Yes, they did exceptional work there for the art and its variations :)
I think I know where your watering can is! But, I don't want to spoil anything. I'll tell you if you ask. Love this playthrough. Thank you so much.
Well, I know too, because that corrupts the savegame crashes the game when you load it, telling you where it is in the error message: the cave xD
@@KillrobPlays So sorry!!! I didn't know it crashed the game. I hope you didn't loose too much and was able to recover.
I got lucky :) just have to replay day 15! So we're all good.

That definitely is something I need to start doing now that we have the means to make möney!
Now now, if Killrob is too open about milking Shroomy his wife will get upset, and then where will he get all that sweet sweet mycelia?
Soooo, you did all 12 episodes in one go? That's A BULK FILMING indeed :D
No, just 7-12 :) 6 episodes in one go, then proceeded to edit number 7 so you have it the next day. :D
A triple-potion cliff-hanger.
Just a double potion though? :) quick & agile is speed, plus then strength?

💁♀💁♀💁♀ i always walk off like this 😂
Walking it off in style! xD Certainly memorable...
Maybe you'll find the missing watering can in the pond whenever the Minotaur comes back, or they'll offer you the mushroom cave instead!
Or... something completely different, like a corrupted savefile because of said watering can ;D
I remember people killing their games by picking up the potion map while in build mode but death by watering can would be a new one!
You can sell potions to any of the merchants BTW, you don't need to buy anything from them
I am aware, yes :) thank you!

I don't think you have! IT is used a lot to make the higher up substances, but not more than that.
Those weird combo potions you made before and put on floor of shop can you sell any of those for good prices?
Yeah, some of them were in the 50s per potion. :)
So... Can you fertilize an infinite amount of times the herbs that let you make the growth potion to make an infinite amount of growth potion in the same day?
Plants can only be harvested twice per day, how many potions you use to get there doesn't seem to matter :D
What sort of shop upgrades is there? Alchemy machine and garden areas or other things?
I don't think there's anything else? :)
@@KillrobPlays Maybe the memory of seeing something about a cauldron upgrade on a developer post was something planned or wishful thinking.
Alchemy engine, alchemy recipes, oil and wine potion bases, and garden extensions. I think thats it. There might be a cosmetic cauldron purchase?
Huh...
