Actually you can only be a cockney if you are born within the sound of bow bells which is in north east London just under a mile south east of the former 2012 Olympic Stadium at Stratford.
The beatles were a band that included Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Star & George Harrison, Hey Jude was writen and sang by Paul McCartney who played bass guitar in the beatles, he is still alive today, John Lennon who play lead guitar was murdered in New York in 1980, Ringo Star who play drum kit is still alive today and George Harrison who played rhythm guitar died of Cancer in 2001

16:15 , just for reference. Paul is on the left wearing Blue, George is in the middle with The Salmon/Pink, John is on the right in the Green, and Ringo is on the drums wearing Pink. Paul and Ringo are the two Beatles that are still alive today. John was killed in 1980 and George passed away in 2001
That Stones concert clip was actually from their 'Some Girls' tour - Live in Texas. 'Some Girls' was their 1978 album with the nr 1 US hit 'Miss You'. Boy, that year brought a lot of music to me with a different school, tape deck, early punk rock here in Scandinavia, New York Dolls with David, Sex Pistols, our Eppu Normaali (like the Stones they are still at it with their own studio), etc. The Stones have toured here many times, like Bruce Springsteen, Dylan, John Fogerty, Alice Cooper, Bowie, even Floyd, The Beatles never came, though. Have caught many of those shows, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Neil Young, Whitney Houston . . . They had staying power, those early birds.
Scouse is the Liverpool accent as per the Beatles...Cockney comes form the East End of London or more precisely withe=in the area where Bow Bells can be heard...
Yeah when you think…The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, The Clash, Bee Gees, The Sex Pistols, Joy Division, The Smiths, The Animals, The Kinks, Cream, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Coldplay, Iron Maiden, Blur, Dire Straits, The Cure, The Stone Roses, Deep Purple, The Jam, T.Rex, The Faces (& The Small Faces), Genesis are all British bands! And obviously I’ve missed many 😂 even Fleetwood Mac are part British….and then solo artists like Elton John, David Bowie, George Michael, Phil Collins and so on
Elton John has always been a solo artist. David Bowie was married twice. Mary Angela Barnett & then Iman. Both wives were models. Mick Jagger was married to Bianca Jagger & then had a few relationships, but he was in a long term relationship with Texan model Jerry Hall for the longest time.
Unfortunately 2 of the beatles have passed away. John lennon and George Harrison. The 2 that r still alive r Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr. Sir Elton John has been a very prolific solo artist from the early 70s. X
You knew you were going to get comments regarding the Beatles / Oasis remark. I would argue with your premise rather than you assertion (as I actually prefer Oasis myself too). You can't compare the two directly as that tells us nothing. It would be like comparing the Ford Model T to a Daewoo Matiz! You need to compare each to its contemporaries and its competition. Who was further ahead of the field in its day? Who broke the most new ground and shaped the immediate direction of music? That has to be the Beatles as they were on their own. Oasis were excellent and influential, but they were also just the best of their class, not in a class of their own.

You know so little about the beatles discography, they have countless incredible songs you don't know about. you should start reacting to individual beatles songs
Yes there are lots of great British bands/musicians but don't forget that the US have also produced some inspirational musicians too. I will never forget when we first listened to Motown for instance and how gorgeous that was and so many other great artists; I always had a soft spot for Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen to name just two other greats. But of course you tend to have a soft spot for the music of your teens and 20s when you get to be as ancient as me so bands like Dire Straits, Big Country, Gorillaz etc. are still pretty sweet.
Regarding The Beatles - Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are still with us. John Lennon was assassinated by Mark Chapman in 1980 and George Harrison died from cancer in 2001
they was a rumour going round in the 60/early 70s that Satisfaction was actually written by Otis Reading, don't know how true it was but it was a prominent feature in some music papers
Hiya Favour, I've liked Kate Bush since I was 5 years old (I'M NOW 45), the music reactions you should react to are Wuthering Heights, Babooshka, Running Up that Hill, This Woman's Work, the man with the child in his eyes, Army dreamers, the infants kiss, there isn't a music video for the infants kiss, but someone has put a make shift video on youtube for the infants kiss, so check that one out, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, United Kingdom
So many teenage boys had posters of Kate Bush on their bedroom walls. Oasis, err, the most over hyped, overrated band of all time. No feeling or light & shade in their songs. Strum strum strum that guitar all the way through the song & have an aggressive attitude for no reason. Oasis Vs beetles? What a joke.
Oasis are no way even close to The Beatles, Oasis copied. The Beatles were originators. Kate Bush is an all time legend. Good to see Black Sabbath up there Bowie had different coloured eyes Ringo and Paul are still with us. Mark Chapman murdered John and George was taken too soon by cancer
The opinion on Oasis vs the Beatles tends to depend on your age. Even today, Oasis are still the most popular band amongst the youth in the UK. I adore the Beatles but Oasis will always be my favourite band.
