Wow, I was just opening your channel to find something to listen to and there's a new upload!
Really curious about this video, every channel talks about "before ai we might play this move" but I haven't seen anyone cover the difference in playstyle broadly.

I think it is interesting that how many general misconceptions humans had about the game of Go before AI started to give its opinion. I say opinion since AIs are still improving and Go theory can still be developed, but I think this is much different to the way Deep Blue defeated Garry Kasporov. From what it seems, Kasparov ended up losing his match due to bassically being outcalulated by Deep Blue. I think he even claimed he had a chance to still beat that version of Deep Blue if he had prepared better for the match. Afterwards, I dont think humans players uncovered as much misconceptions in their play as Go players did which I think show the complexity of Go in a way I never thought of. Interestingly though, after AlphaGo Google created a chess computer called AlphaZero that used the same proccess as AlphaGo, but with chess, and was able to crush the best chess computers in a way that was just completly foreign to most chess professionals. That style of play hasn't really caught on though and I don't think anyone has truly understood what AlphaZero was ever really doing. Anyways, I think it is interesting how the two games have developed alongside recent developments in AI.
