The real bad gen starts since XY and from there, it's only going down and down. Especially with dumb mechanics like the mega evolution, dynamax, Z power, and stuff. Hope the Legends Arceus be more realistic and not some irrational stuff and also no "kid-friendly" stuff. Bring back realistic lore and puzzle and stuff like in Hoenn!

The addition of fairy types seems like it made the Cynthia fight a lot easier. Spiritomb has a weakness now, and Garchomp has another weakness you can aim for rather than having to use ice/dragon types
@@Dracopyre What are you talking about? They don’t come anywhere close to becoming the new Dragon type. They don’t have a bunch of resistances like Dragon does, and not only did they give Dragon types a much needed weakness, they also revitalised Poison and Steel as offensive types where previously there was next to no reason to use those moves. Fairies were great for game balance overall

A normal type move is good for coverage and Tackle's the poor man's False Swipe. Also, if you have a physical mon with lower Sp. Atk that has a more Sp. Atk. leaning learnset, Tackle usually ends up hanging around for a bit.

People really did hype up the remakes cynthia fight, but it just followed the exact same AI pattern as the other battles. The opponent always makes brainlet decisions until it's their last pokemon and then they switch to "competitive" playstyles which are still really easy to predict and manipulate. I had minor trouble with it and my strongest pokemon at the time was a level 61 torterra. Pre-gen 6 definitely felt a lot more challenging than modern pokemon. I guess it's nice to keep the series accessible to all ages, but with the way people were talking about it i expected it to be on par with the difficulty of Red in Gen 2 or something

Garchomp Outspeeds just about everything unless you competively train, or overlevel and it has poison jab to counter Fairy types
One of the reasons why fairy types suck imo. They were supposed to bring balance to the game (for some unknown reason), not become the new Dragon type

I mean, when you're 6-10 levels higher, you get to just one shot. If you don't over level, she's actually quite hard.
Red wasn't difficult, his team is garbage. He's only artificially induced difficulty because of the huge jump in levels.
