What if the standard deviation is unknown, but you do know everything else. Can you calculate that using distribution mode? (Including knowing the surface) Because if you don't know the "X" you can fill in a random number and change the surface after that, but you can't fill a random standard deviation.
@@TheCalculatorGuide that makes this whole mode unusable. I bought this calc just for distributions to supplement by 991EX and TINspire only to realise I can't use the distributions mode for such calculations unless I want to only have up to 3dp accuracy and not be able to do simple things like 1-ans. Even worse than the 991EX :( - even in the stats mode it takes like 5 clicks to recall the var.
Thanks for another interesting and informative video, you are helping me out a lot with learning all the cool features of the CG5o.
Thank u sir.. If it weren't for u i would be regretting wasting my money ...
Also, could you please show how to do the inverse normal on this, great video by the way!
Hopefully very soon
If I bought my CG50 back in 2020, is there a way to update its OS so I can get this feature as well?
Yes. You need to fx-CG50 series updater on your computer, the USB cable it came with and you need the download the latest update from the Casio site.

Probably not for reasons that this often and exam question requiring algebra skills.
Is this function available in exam mode?
Yes
@@TheCalculatorGuide thank you
How do you store the value of the probability into a variable?
I will look into this but I am not sure you can.

The results are stored automaticaly, you can recall them using the VARS button. Go to run/matrix mode, press VARS, STAT, RESULT, DIST, p
why is you fc cg 50 calculator different, seems like a new update?
You might need to update to the most recent software and add ons.
How would i ffind the standard deviation and mean if it is unkown?
If you are talking about some of the problem solving type questions that you get, you need a non-calculator method for that.
yo i have a question please help
Don't do this, post the video right away, you're flooding
