I think the third generation rx350 was the best looking out of all the generations. What I like about the third-gen is its soft edges and very round body lines. It didn't seem so small like the second-gen and didn't seem so aggressive like the fourth-gen. I do think the fourth-gen is the best if you want a modern aggressive vehicle, I like its mad face and awesome technologies, but there's something about the subtlety of the third-gen that makes me want to buy one and trade in the car I'm driving now.
these are great for the price . well built , everything in the whole car feels sturdy . nice feeling soft leather , good sound system , heap of safety options . the drive line is very smooth . fuel is average 14l/100km city , but the RX350 engine has good power and pick up.
I love the RX. I just bought a 2014 a few months back. I'm inn college and not really a typical demographic of an RX owner, but I love it
Smart purchase
Good review. I bought one of these a year ago (April 2018) with 33K miles. It's been great, so far. You're right about the fuel economy -- it's not great, but it makes it up in power,
Olllllll
i just bought an '08 rx350. i really like it a lot. you pointed out some features i couldn't figure out, lol 🤠 i've been driving fords for over 30 years, but gave up with all their overworked tiny displacement trucks - which is all they make. plus my last town car wasn't as good as my '02 town car that i drove into the ground. this isn't as quiet as the tc, but pretty good, and a VERY comfortable ride! i'm a salesguy, and that's important.
Bro..I've tried to own Fords as well...I gotta say...they gotta long way to go..and I'm sorry to say that!
I should have learned this by now that you just can't go with what you hear about a car's ride from other people's description. I have an 08 as well and though i don't hate the ride, i do find some negatives like the way the tire noise somehow intrudes a little from the rear axle, and the impact harshness that still finds its way when going over expansion joints and sharp road imperfections. I also had 18 4Runner limited and that one even rode worse. Surprisingly, though, i got a chance to rent a 23 4Runner SR5 and i just absolutely went head over heels over its plush and quiet ride...something i would have expected more on a GM product, and never on a Toyota.
Awesome review of RX350.
Bought an 07 with less than 90,000 miles. Great car. Roomy and comfortable.
@Daniel Pan as Scotty says, have a guy like him check it out before you sign the papers. I paid a little less than $10k for mine. hope you get a good deal.
@Daniel Pan I thought this was a reply to Scotty Kilmer's video!
Daniel Pan 10k is a bit too much. I just bought 08 with 76k miles for $6K
Daniel Pan I’m not in Texas. I’m in Illinois. Guess I got very lucky .
The taillights are incandescent bulbs except for the brake lights and it's only a 5 speed automatic but hey, good video review! My 08 RX350 has 244,000 miles and runs and drives like a Swiss clock! Scotty Kilmer approved!
I’ve been looking at a few with around 150k on them for around 5900 dollars. Would you say it’s a good buy? Reliable?
Christopher Heldt Yes, they are extremely reliable! Probably one of best crossovers in the world next to the Acura MDX. And 5,900 with 150k is a VERY good deal for one. I paid with 5,200 with 240,000 for my 08 in 03/19 and it hasn’t skipped a beat! Just change the oil with 5W30 and the transmission fluid every 40k with full synthetic and they can run forever! Scotty Kilmer would also agree.
Harrison Edgar awesome thanks
@@Axolotl-446 RX 350 are very reliable the only problem to look for is leakage in timing chain cover. It's very common problem in older RX with generally 75k+ miles. It's not a major problem but takes a lot of hours to fix and gets quite expensive (2k plus).
Harrison Edgar how about the 2001-2007 Highlander ? Can’t believe you ddnt mention that car but you mentioned the Acura MDX 🤦🏿♂️🤣. Those highlanders are tank lit, more reliable that you lexus you are talking about in your comment
Can't believe I was gonna get rid of my 08RX for a Porsche Macon! My bad
Intro...Something like that ×10😳
These are great SUVs! Perfect for pretty much everyone, you can tell because this generation is somewhat hard to find.
BTW, the center console slides back and forth
My grown daughters and I just took a road-trip in my 2004. Thanks for the tip!
Good review!
i feel like getting one.
That's ill son word❤
I was involved in an accident a few days ago and my 2005 Toyota Camry is totaled. These days the used cars are extremely expensive. Now a 2004 Lexus RX with 134,000 miles is around $9,000. Incredible. Still, I would love to buy a Lexus, either a ES350 or an RX350 (or330). I found a few RX 2004 or 2005 with a range of 125,000 - 175,000 miles. I would like to ask you, what is still a good number of miles that I should be comfortable buying the car with ? Thank you.
These cars are very good and dependable these motors will last you up to $300,000 to 400,000 miles so you really don't have to worry about the mileage too bad
How much
I have a 2007 with 77,000 miles. I do baby it. I take it to the dealer every 5,000 miles for it’s regular service; however, I’m not finding it particularly reliable. Last week I replaced all five TMPS monitors and it was $553. That was at a local shop-$1600 at the dealership. Today, I replaced my alternator. That was $882 at a local mechanic-$1100 at the dealer. I also had to replace a piece of plastic that blew off of the foot of the roof rack-$115. My transmission is starting to get weird and I’m afraid to even take that in for a look as I’m getting to a point where I can’t afford anymore repairs. Where’s the legendary Lexus reliability everyone talks about. I understand wear and tear, but Lexus is both expensive to maintain and repair and I figured a car going through what mine has (meticulously cared for) would have had well over 100,000 miles before all this started happening. Love the car, but I’m finding myself disappointed.
@Hamptonian Painting I agree. I’d like to know if this is happening to anyone else.
I heard that 2007-2008 got a lot of problems.
2007 year was a dud. Just research it it’s a well-known problem
@@realpilBMF No need to research it. I’ve been living it for 14 years. Lol. I really do love the vehicle, and I plan to keep it until it turns 20 years old (or hits 250,000 miles-whichever comes first). I’m the kind who buys a car and generally keeps it 15 to 20 years, so I figured Lexus would be the car to do this with. Truth be told though I had better luck doing that with Buick I traded in for this.
Sounds like to me you need a new mechanic
But I can tell you, it goes off road quite well
I have one with almost 300,000 km in the Odo
nice mines have 180k
210k here!
@@wrightcodyj It will reach 300,000 Next week!
😘

200k Miles on US road and 200k Miles on UK roads, are they comparable? Any comments?
I'd guess american roads are likely crappier. But I have no idea
Not really. US highways are much wider and smoother with fewer stops. Driving on US highways probably causes much less wear and tear than driving on rough UK B roads with lots of stop and go.
Does this model have an AUX cord?
maybe on the Navigation equipped units. Definitely not on the non-Nav versions.
Is more of a cassette type of thing. I recently bought a Lexus RX 350 & everything is good. The downsfall is the cassette. However, I no if the one off of Amazon in Bluetooth and work great
I’ve heard that some people retrofit an aux cord in somehow.
Kyle, your adorable.
i dont like this car.....i hate the body design
How much is the price?
Do you have one to sell
