It's like watching a baby deer learn to walk for the first time, it's adorable. my dane is around 8 months old and still falls over her own feet 🤣
They grow SO fast! Teach him not to jump on people starting NOW, so he learns before he can knock people clean over! ☺️

I lost my Dane 2 days ago :( it's truly the most heartbreaking thing to have to put them down because they're suffering, but at least they can rest easy now without having to feel pain

Tip: you gunna need a bigger car and DONT let him sleep in your bed my Great Dane is 175 lbs and she just is too big for a bed and they are very clingy btw
OLIVIA PAIGE i LOVE havin my dane in my bed. We spoon every night and she sleeps under the blanket w me and has her own pillow. She does wake me up if the blanket has slid of tho 😍
My dane has claimed my bed as his own, and he weighs about 160, night time is really fun with him

I have one and I love her!! She’s clingy and easily gets in the way but I love that she wants to be by my side. She’s my little companion.

It's been six months since my big girl Zena has gone to be with all the other missing dogs who have loved and left us and I just can't get over her passing. She was such a beautiful, big baby and she loved me so much. I've been thinking about getting another but I don't know. She had something wrong with her digestive system and I had to care for her, giving her special food and diapering and changing her and cleaning up after her and I would do it all again if I could. She lived to the ripe old Great Dane age of 11 yrs 1 month. We don't get to keep them, always remember. God will allow some of us to have the blessing of a Great Dane but only for a while and it will seem like the years go too quickly no matter how old they get. Never let them run and jump and play after feeding (I never did) because this breed is especially prone to the Bloat. I always waited at least 2 hours after feeding dinner. I fed her 3 times a day her whole life (except when she was sick the last year of her life then I fed her 5x per day. Absolutely love him! We adopted a Great Dane a couple years ago but she was 9 months when we got her and already 90 pounds so we missed the small puppy stage. Such a cool breed of dog. ~Bradley

I have a Great Dane too except he’s 4 and I imagine that Finn looks just like my dog was when he was a puppy. He’s adorable, I love Great Danes.
We've got a great Dane named Finn too. He looks almost identical. I miss him being so small, he'll be 11 month old in 4 days. Enjoy your Finn while he's small and take lots of photos. ❤️
Great Danes are the absolute best ! Get them in the water as soon as possible! Mine didn’t have any Arthritis at 8 years old ..

Brenton Mcintire we actually did look multiple times, and nobody had a Great Dane, also they all had behavioral problems. We love our Finn!

My Great Dane is now just over 3 years old, he gets scared of men in hats, he is about 150lbs can be very hipper but also extremely lazy. Also my Great Dane still has very soft fur.

I have a 5 month old Great Dane and Doberman mix. He’s the cutest thing ever.
I have an 8yr on Dane they are super clingy, smart, and protective. she helped us found out my niece had cancer ./ where the DR. said she only had a cold. Maxine kept watching her and we could never get her to leave her side so we got a second opinion. we are going through our first semester of vet school together at Tuskegee so wish us luck. I also recommend a raw diet for a long life span!! Danes life spans are only 5-6 years.
Its so cute how they look into your eyes.
Most pupppies are shy. Make sure you socialize him properly and talk to trainers to ensure that doesn’t become aggression. Also isn’t really a scaredy cat but rather undersocialized, you pretty much have until the 16 week mark until things he hasn’t been desensitize to will be scary, and it will take training to get over.
Oh yeah hes come out of his shell since then for sure!

Our awesome Great Dane #RondoTheGreatDane (instagram) is 6.5 years old. Incredibly smart, loyal and loving breed. My wife and I are heartbroken now because she has been diagnosed with cancer and her days are winding down. I found myself on UA-cam today watching Dane videos and remember when we brought her home. Dogs bring so much love to the family and the pain of losing them is really hard. Seeing these videos has me smiling and crying inside all at the same time. Thanks for sharing your journey. I will never forget our Dane's loving look into our eyes. :(

I love big dogs and so by default I adore Great Danes! I have a 110 lb Chocolate Lab and a Great Pyrenees that belongs to my daughter that lives with us. I’m sorry small dogs don’t do anything for me. My wife won’t let me have anything bigger. Samson’s metal rod of a tail hurts bad enough when it’s wagging and knocking over the grandkids. Everything they own 5’ and under will be his playthings, so Dane proof the house as well as lock on the fridge and pantry, they can open them and remove food, and countertops! Good luck, he’s a year old now, are your furniture legs chewed off yet?
Not at all, hes a really good boy actually! He chewed on some baseboards when he was younger but never chewed furniture or anything!

i have a dane pup myself! HE IS SOOOO CUTE😍 u got a new sub!:) just be careful with those fabric/squeaker toys! make sure to watch them when they’re playing with that type of toy i know several people who’s dogs passed or had to have major surgery after eating one!
With my great dane puppy feeding i was a little complicated. So if your dog is a chower or free eater. I would try for free eating. With a slow feed bowl. This is because Winston, by boy it was hard to know how much to feed him. Get your dog super used to baths now and swimming. I gave my boy baths but he hated them and fighting a 165lb dog into a bath is overwhelming process. But make sure you do puppy and dog socialization when he has his shots and puppy classes are really good. If you have any questions my insta is chronicallyshane . I had to rehome my boy due to him not being able to become my service dog and my family and I were moving.

AandA I hate to argue, yes Great Danes are tear to fined in shelters but it is possible. That is how my fam got our Dane. Adopting is a bit harder but it is so much better. Dogs are killed every day because people would rather get exactly what they want instead of venturing out and finding a dog that needs some love. When my family got our Dane he was fully grown but only about 60 pounds. His fur was falling out and he couldn’t even stand up. We took him home and saw a complete transformation. Adopting isn’t easy, but the reward is knowing that you saved a life from pain and loneliness. Please, everyone, take all of this into consideration if you are planning to get a dog. @@brentonmcintire8533 Her point is that even tho their are thousands of kids that you could adopt and just raise you wouldn't look down at people who just want to have one. Animals are the same. Some people just want any dog breed so for them I would suggest adopting ,some want specific breeds they should go to a good breeder, and some people like me had very bad adopting experiences and can't handle adopting animals so I would go to a breeder. It's more important to go to a good breeder or a shelter than to only go to shelters. For example ,breeders that are trained well don't have more puppies than needed which is very different from puppy mills
