Oh hello! Thanks so much for watching. On my model, the break is the thing above the back wheel - it didn't need installing at all as it was already attached right out of the box - you just put your foot on it to press it down against the wheel. It doesn't have any other break. It took me a little while to get used to how much pressure to put on with my foot to slow down of stop the scooter, but I soon got used to it and now it's like second nature. I hope that was useful? Thanks again for watching.
*Battery life is great **Latest.Bike** Scooter . Love the different driving modes. It’s got a little headlight and taillight too. Gets lots of looks haha*
I'm LOVING this scooter all these months on. The more I use it, the more it feels like second nature. It certainly lags a little on cobbles or uneven ground, but compared to that old stunt scooter it's a dream. I wish I could compare it to other models, but I can't. I can just say I really love it and am using it a few times a week. It's a dream and I'm so pleased got it. Thanks so much for watching! :¬)
Thank you for your review ☺️. Just ordered one a few minutes ago. Wanted a electric one, I like the one I ordered, which is VERY similar to yours. Plan to have motor added later.🥺😳☺️
I LOVE mine! I've had it ages ago now and got quite a lot of use out of it while the weather was a bit warmer - we're in a lockdown here now, so I'm not getting out and about on it as much as I'd have liked. I really really wanted an electric one too. They're actually not legal to ride on roads here in the UK (the e-scooters) - although I'm seeing more and more of them about and I don't know if this law is getting enforced? But that said, I was surprised by how easily this scooter glides on smooth, flat ground. I don't put much effort in at all, compared to my old scooter and it just seems to glide beautifully with very comparatively little exertion, so I'm actually happy with this one and am in no rush to get an electric one. I hope you enjoy your scooter! It felt a bit odd at first, with the big wheels, but after a day or two, it felt like an extension of the human body! Ha ha!
Oooh! Great! We love ours - they felt slightly awkward at first, going up to the bigger wheels, but as time went on, with every ride we got more and more used to them and now they feel like extensions of ourselves, and scooting is second nature and a pretty exhilarating way to get about. I'm thinking about getting a light for it now it gets dark so early... also - I love the way it just glides for ages between scoots. I had wanted an e-scooter ideally but chose not to as they aren't legal to ride on UK roads, but honestly, these are so smooth an easy to ride, I won't be in a rush to buy an e-scooter when they eventually become legal. I don't mind wheeling it up hills for now and the rest is plain sailing.
Oh definitely. Izzy had a go on it in the park yesterday and then I compared her one to the new one and there was no comparison, so I said I'd order the one in white for her. It's a justifiable expense if it's a genuine alternative to public transport for little 6 mile round trips to friends houses and appointments and things while the pandemic continues. Thanks, Holly. Back to normal vlogs tonight!
"And we would have got away with it too, if it hadn't been for that pesky Imo..." (I'm wondering if this reference is lost on you if you've only seen Scooby-Doo in Portuguese?)
Aw, thanks! You're very welcome. I still love mine all these months afterwards. It was soon second nature after a few outings. :¬) I do hope you enjoy yours.
Us too! Izzy's going to be getting one, shortly. It's so much better than her scooter and she's actually grown out of it anyway, as her handlebars don't go up any higher and she's growth spurted. Can't wait for it to come so we can both go scooting around the place together!
Wow... big difference between the old and new. Looks like it has a smooth ride too. Good for you, and I'm sure Izzy will look forward to getting a new one too. Then you can be off scootering and enjoying the outdoors. 💖
Yes - I'm definitely going to get her her own one too. We did a comparison with this and her old one yesterday in the park and there was no contest. It'll really help us with mobility during the pandemic. Thanks, Thrifty G'ma! x
With any scooter if you take the bars off and tighten the headset it will stop spinning as much. Simply search a tutorial on youtube "how to tighten scooter headset" you'll need an allen key usually the same size as what the scooter came with. Ps: with any scooter length its easier to have your foot forwards while pushing and then to have your feet sort of parallel similar to how you would stand on a skateboard and then resume to your front food being forwards when pressing the brake
Good to not have disc breaks but just have the little break on back. I literally looked at all the scooters on Amazon and finally got the the one you have! I was looking for a simple and durable design. I was going to have pneumatic tires for a softer ride, however they slow you down. Opted for non pneumatic but suspension. Mine is coming in a few days 🙂
Sorry for the delay! I just measured one of the wheels and I think they are approximately 7 and a half inches. :¬) I hope you enjoy your scooter - we LOVE ours!!! Thanks so much for watching. 😁
@@PlanetImo I have a really good tip for you which you may not know. You might have realised that the handle bars are a bit wobbly? Well I only just realised the way to fix this!! Wish I could send you pics. I will explain though. As you know, there is a gold pop in button on each handle bar. About a centimeter from that is a black tiny allen key. You just undo that two or three turns and then pop the handle back in. I made sure that it was as tight fit as possible so that there is no wiggle. I found that if you start the whole process from the handle on. Pop the gold button in and carefully pull the handle out a little until you see the black allen key. Once you are ready, just use a mallet to bang handle back in. To be honest I just banged the handle on the floor worked good for me!! The end of the grip cracked slightly, but I am planning on new grips anyway. Let me know if this was useful?
I just got a very similar but totally different brand with a totally different look... And a totally different decal in the same spot that also just says "technology" lol with a similar drawing of a spring. But I gotta admit I didn't totally clue into it having that front shock until the third time out, and the technology impresses! I was also only used to one like your old one and now I can hit bumps and cracks I never imagined it would handle. Mine's called a StreetRunner Dart from Costco and seems like one of the best scooters out there in my after-the-impulse-buy research.
Hi Imo! - Just ordered the exact model but with a rear disk brake! Hope this toy sails over those pesky pebbles that trip me on blades. :) Should keep my legs in shape too! Thanks for your charming review! Love from Colorado.
Ooh lovely, Good luck! Mine has a rear brake - just activated by the foot - not on the handle bars. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. No regrets here - I LOVE it!
I've ordered a very similar scooter myself yesterday on Amazon but has no brand name so have to wait for a few days to see if it's good or not, the one I'm getting has rear and front brakes but not sure if it comes with the carry strap. I've been trying to find alternatives to driving my car to and from work, from what I've seen on here it's far more convenient and comfortable than riding a bike.
Well done for making this highly informative video. On strength of this I have just bought the same today. Thanks again n hope your daughter has come to terms with her dyslexia
Here too, normally, but I found a VERY deserted car park and it was the evening when barely anyone was out. I rarely do shots like that, but it was kind of necessary for this scooter demo...
They're lovely aren't they? I only regret we haven't had as much chance to use them in the short term as I expected. We'll certainly get our use out of them over the years to come, though.
Thanks for your video. I’ve just bought a scooter for going to my car after work as my feet are usually aching after an 8 hour shift. How are they uphill? (Not electric) My kids think I’ve gone potty 🤣.
Hee hee! I get some funny looks from teens myself as I am 46! I usually just wheel it uphill as it's less effort. That would have been a benefit of getting an electric, but I'm pretty happy with this for now. It glides along really well on the flat with minimal effort compared to my older smaller-wheeled scooter. Maybe I'll switch to an e-scooter when I get older. It felt a bit clumsy for the first couple of outings but soon felt like second nature. Thanks for watching, Rosemary! I hope you enjoy the scooter.
Imo, I'm loving the new "glider"! Seems a better name fit, than scooter :) Looks like lots of fun. I really enjoy the way you tell the stories of your day 🙂
Great video ma'am. A fan from India!!! Can u please tell how many meters would it keep gliding on one kick jerk. Also if I drive 2km at a go would it be tiresome? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for watching, Mehul! I'm sorry I hadn't replied yet. I'm not sure how long you would glide for with one kick, and I guess it depends on so many factors like slope, surface friction, the weight of the rider, how fast you were going before doing a kick? I do 6 miles sometimes and don't get tired at age 45 on relatively flat ground. Once I get moving I get a pattern going of 5 scoots and then glide for a while which is, at the very least, the same amount of time that it took to do the five scoots and then more. I can't get out to test it at the moment because we're in lockdown and it's a little bit more awkward than usual. I hope this answer helped though and thanks again for watching. ~Imo
We love that back break too. I hope I don’t wear mine out - I live in a hilly area and often have it applied for long periods whilst coming down hill and needing to limit my speed so I don’t hurtle out of control. Thanks so much for watching!
Yes it does - unlike the ones that have handle bar brakes with brake cables. It’s not as bad for swinging round and smashing you in the ankles when you pick it up as those little stunt scooters are, but it can still do it so you still have to be careful. Hope that was helpful! Sorry again about the late reply and thanks for watching!
Yes - some brands have them. I ummed and ahhed... I'm used to a back brake already and figured the less fiddly bits it had, the less potential there was for things to go wrong. I don't know if that was a sensible decision, or not.
Good question. It just rides over the shallow ones with a slight slope but a tall skinny ridgey one got it grounded the other day. If I’m in doubt I hop off, lift it over quickly and then get straight back to scooting. That said I’ve never done this on a road with traffic on. Thanks for watching! 😊
What is it like on really bumpy pavements (the ones that have stones embedded in them)? I bought a Razor A5 Lux a few years ago and the vibration was unbearable so I returned it the next day and stuck with my pushbike. But I'm now looking at scooters again and cant decide if to go for one with pneumatic wheels which I think would be the most shock absorbent but have other drawbacks, or risk buying another one with polyurethane wheels and hope the suspension makes enough difference???
Hmmm. Good question. I don’t have anything else to compare it with other than my old clapped out kids’ scooter or my daughter’s kids’ one. It was definitely streets ahead of those. You can certainly still feel some bumps as you go over them and it was VERY difficult to ride over grass compared to tarmac. I strongly suspect that pneumatic tires would be better, but I’m not basing that on personal experience. I don’t know how they compare in price, either? Sorry I couldn’t be a bit more helpful! Good luck and thanks for stopping by.
Yes! We do have a lot of drainage gully things which are a bit uppy and downy, but those are the worst things, mostly. Sorry to hear about your surfaces. It's funny how you go your whole life not noticing pavement textures until you get a scooter. 😂
I had a very similar model and it does not stand up to street vibrations from rough paths. You adjust things before you ride and they'll come off as you're riding.
Mine In second day when I was riding it just the security faild it's like folded and jumped in front, got injury in my leg, don't know if happened tou you before or some one.
Oh no! Sorry. If it's any consolation, my floor tiles are just plastic/vinyl - don't worry, I promise not to do it on anything scratchy. Thanks for stopping by!
One of those would go pretty well with your kit, Gaziano. :¬) They're a bit weighty for carrying if you have other stuff to carry, though. Nice to see you!
Hellooo! We haven't ridden them much as they are more of a utilitarian item for us, rather than leisure, and we haven't had any trips to make on them yet, so I can't really say at the moment. It was certainly good after 2 times out on it. It tried in on grass in a park and it slowed right down immediately with the extra friction/resistance. I know in the Amazon pictures it was being ridden on grass. It's certainly a lot harder to ride even on very short, mown grass. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful yet! Thanks for stopping by.
I kind of doubt it with my flexible strap arrangement. I have to give it a bit of extra support bouncing up and down kerbs, or it tips over. I'd probably end up dragging it behind me on its side! 😂
That’s a good question but I’m afraid I’m not an adventurous scooterer as I literally just use it to get from A to B so I’ve never tried any hopping type stuff. Sorry I couldn’t be more use! Thanks for watching, though.
@@scangangatrooperbot8926 I think it's sturdy and well built, but I bought it right at the start of the pandemic when we were trying to avoid publuc transport as much as possible, so since things opened up more, I don't use it very much, so I wouldn't like to say how long lasting it is? It feels sturdy enough to me?
@@PlanetImo okay thanks so much you were the best review I’ve found. Btw I’m only a 13 year old 110 pound boy so it should be sturdy enough for me and my 160 pound mom.
Ah you never know. I have little feet but I don’t have both feet fully on together - I have one lightly over the break if I’m not scooting with it and the rest of the time, it’s scooting. Thanks so much for watching and good luck on your scooter quest!
I've just looked it up - 220lbs/ 15 stone 7lbs/ 100kg according to its listing on Amazon uk. There's a link in the description if you'd like to check out the specifications. Thanks so much for watching! :¬)
Hi Imo... I am very happy for you ! I know you have wanted to get a better scooter for a while... Too bad it is not electric... I cannot understand why It is illegal in your area... I like how compact it gets for transport.. Hey ? Where's the seat ? ... Stay happy and healthy.. Your USA Friend in the desert..
Ahhh I’ve no idea. I guess it would depend on who was riding it and the type of surface? I bet a big strong bloke could go faster than me. It’s not an electric one. Perhaps I could get a speedometer for it, then we’d know! 😆 thanks for watching.
I don’t really know? It’s not an electric one so I guess it depends on how fast you can scoot amongst other things? Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful! Thanks for watching. 😃
Hm, I think the kids ones have smaller wheels normally? I've had some classic looks off teenagers already, riding this around the town - a range of expressions: sneers, contempt, respect and utter disbelief. Older ladies on benches seemed to approve though, joking that they ought to get one too, for keeping up with the grand-kids.
Thanks for the question - I’ve got to be honest, I haven’t got a clue! It’s not an electric one and doesn’t have a speedometer or anything. I expect it depends on who’s riding it and what the surface is like that you’re riding on. Sorry that wasn’t very helpful! Thanks for watching though.

hello i love the i already order my own adult scooter i can wait to give the unboxing tips
Cool! I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Nice set of new wheels ya have there Imo!
Thank you! 😊
How does it ride over speed bumps?
I don’t think I’ve been on any pavements with stones embedded yet...
90% of the pavements where I live are the stony ones so you're lucky to have smooth surfaces to ride on!
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. I haven’t had any trouble with mine. Thanks so much for watching.
which lb you were making when you were in the street? - highest -before highest -before highest?
Thanks so much for the question. What does 'ib' mean? Apologies for not understanding the terminology!
I don’t know how to open it to take it stand me is different
Nice looking scooter. I agree it is quite "scooterish".
Highly!!
Alright! Scooter is awesome! Ready to roll! What kind of modifications are you gonna do on it??
Oooooh now THAT's something that hadn't even occurred to me! You've put the idea into my head now though, Evan.
BTW - Sonny, your adopted sunflower is not doing so good!!!!
What?? Oh no!
😢
looks like decathlon Oxelo Town 7 XL
0:55 I cringe when you slide the scooter without any protection on the bottom front metal part
Oh no! Sorry. If it's any consolation, my floor tiles are just plastic/vinyl - don't worry, I promise not to do it on anything scratchy. Thanks for stopping by!
That's a cool looking scooter, I want one 👍, hope your well, take care, ATB 👍
One of those would go pretty well with your kit, Gaziano. :¬) They're a bit weighty for carrying if you have other stuff to carry, though. Nice to see you!
Very nice thing to have fun with.
Yes! :¬) And a means of transport to us for more local trips to Izzy's friends' houses and medical appointments and things. Thanks, Dave.
what is that grinding noise ?
This video seems to get views, but the link for the scooter is not found, just a tip to upgrade it :)
Ooooh thank you!!!! I'll get on to fixing that later. Cheers.
Awesome scooter xx
Thanks! X
Nice review!!!
Thanks!
How is your scooter one week on? I saw this on amazon
Do you think you can pull the trolley behind you? Bet you won't kick it then
I kind of doubt it with my flexible strap arrangement. I have to give it a bit of extra support bouncing up and down kerbs, or it tips over. I'd probably end up dragging it behind me on its side! 😂
Hello I had a question about this scooter. Is this scooter durable enough to hop off sidewalks and short curves?
That’s a good question but I’m afraid I’m not an adventurous scooterer as I literally just use it to get from A to B so I’ve never tried any hopping type stuff. Sorry I couldn’t be more use! Thanks for watching, though.
@@PlanetImo okay thanks but it is a well built sturdy scooter right? Has it lasted for you?
@@scangangatrooperbot8926 I think it's sturdy and well built, but I bought it right at the start of the pandemic when we were trying to avoid publuc transport as much as possible, so since things opened up more, I don't use it very much, so I wouldn't like to say how long lasting it is? It feels sturdy enough to me?
@@PlanetImo okay thanks so much you were the best review I’ve found. Btw I’m only a 13 year old 110 pound boy so it should be sturdy enough for me and my 160 pound mom.
Ah yeah - I should imagine. It's heavy compared to the little stunt scooters, btw. Thanks again for watching!
I will have the same scooter
Great! :¬)
I'm quite large with big feet idk if I can get a scooter lmao 🤣
Ah you never know. I have little feet but I don’t have both feet fully on together - I have one lightly over the break if I’m not scooting with it and the rest of the time, it’s scooting. Thanks so much for watching and good luck on your scooter quest!
@@PlanetImo lol I'm size 10 XD hahaha
😁 I'm a 5!
How much weight bear maximum?
I've just looked it up - 220lbs/ 15 stone 7lbs/ 100kg according to its listing on Amazon uk. There's a link in the description if you'd like to check out the specifications. Thanks so much for watching! :¬)
I am a scooter liker and got the same scooter just now
Cool! I LOVE mine. I don’t really miss the fact it’s not electric. Not yet, anyway! Thanks so much for watching. 😃
Cool scooter.👍
Thank you. We were riding them today. :-)
Looks cool 😊
Is IS cool! I love it! Thanks, Mike.
Lol. How excited are you??
Very! I think I’m going to have to get Izzy one - she’s outgrown hers and this one is way better.
Hee hee! No seat on these ones. Nice to see you, Mark.
I'm so happy for you... just stay off motorways and railway tracks 🙈💕
Ha ha! OK, will do, Grant!
what the mph? I curious!
Ahhh I’ve no idea. I guess it would depend on who was riding it and the type of surface? I bet a big strong bloke could go faster than me. It’s not an electric one. Perhaps I could get a speedometer for it, then we’d know! 😆 thanks for watching.
How fast does it go?
I don’t really know? It’s not an electric one so I guess it depends on how fast you can scoot amongst other things? Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful! Thanks for watching. 😃
@@PlanetImo Thanks. Have a wonderful day!
So they so make big wheels for kids.
@@PlanetImo lol I'll get all those looks too I'm 13 but I look older and I'm 5'9 I think I may be a little too tall for that scooter
Yes yes it was watched by scooter riders..
How fast can it go?
Thanks for the question - I’ve got to be honest, I haven’t got a clue! It’s not an electric one and doesn’t have a speedometer or anything. I expect it depends on who’s riding it and what the surface is like that you’re riding on. Sorry that wasn’t very helpful! Thanks for watching though.
Is it electrical scooter ?
No, it’s just human-powered. Thanks for watching! 😊
Great
Thanks!
I’d need a big scooter three times the size lol
I'll take your word for it! You'd have to mind out for low bridges, I guess! 😂
I have that scooter
Cool! What do you think of it? I love mine. :-)
2:01 seriously? girl, there's user manual inside the box. no need to re-measure for your viewer!!!!
Do a tailwhip
Ha ha! I’m not sure what that is, but these ones don’t whip around like the stunt ones do.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Aw, thank you so much!
As in thank you so much for watching the video - I'm assuming the hearts were for the scooter! 😂
@@PlanetImo take care,,🙏🙏
