Ever since I saw the film, I've had an issue with how quickly Kristen Bell's tone becomes optimistic in the original version. I really appreciate how I can hear your grief throughout the entirety of the song, even when the words you are singing are positive. That's how sadness/grief actually works; even when you do the next right thing, it still hurts.
Well done.
It didn’t become optimistic. She portrayed someone compartmentalizing and pushing back her grief to get what had to be done finished. That’s the entire message of the song. If all you do is cry throughout the entire thing, you’re missing the point of it completely.
@@razrv3lc it get what your saying. Totes legit; optimistic wasn't the perfect word to use. For me personally, you can be grieving ("crying") and still do what needs to be done. I'm a very emotional person, I just wish I would have heard more weight during the song. Or even, just let the grief linger in her voice a little longer; that's all.

Wow. This song was never so relatable on this level before you added this amazingly realistic and deep emotion to this song. I’ve gone through some pretty hard stuff in my life...and so has everyone! It just gets you right in the feels. Sometimes all you can do is live one day at a time and the emotion you portray in this songs hits this idea right at home.

I know I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but I need to say I have been looking ever since I first heard this song for a cover or a version that gave the right emotion. The original holds it too strong at the point of "When its clear that everything will never be the same again" the original holds too steady your voice gives that added emotion to that point that I have been looking for. Thank you I don't know if it was intentional but it added what the song was missing in my eyes? ears? something like that. Thank you.
