In this short grasshopper tutorial, we are going to talk about how we can use the "Solid Difference" component to make a new form from a Box and a series of spheres.

This was the best explanation of grasshopper I’ve ever seen.

Thank you for this tutorial! How do I move points? When I create a point, then I can't move it around even if I baked the sphere or point.

Why do i get a failure with a double helix where i have on each line between the two twist spheres located?
Does it fail with complex geometry?
    Appreciate your time and answer.

How do I create a DYNAMIC type of boolean difference?
    What if I have to make a Sphere "orbit" another object and make;
OBJECT difference from SPHERE ; while Sphere rotates around OBJECT ?
    All dynamically baked?

You have to define the orbits path and then evaluate the curve to move the sphere on the orbit.

@@ParametricHouse Hello Parametric, I absolutely love your videos, I'm a huge fan. I'm a very talented 27 years old Inventor in the field of 3d modeling, both mesh based, sculpting and parametric; F360, ZBrush, Blender, Rhino and other programs are my daily bread.
However I see Grasshopper as the FUTURE of 3d modeling that's why I'm pushing so hard to learn as much as possible about it.
I actually would like to enroll in your website classes but I'd suggest a monthly type of subscription if possible, hundred of bucks in one go it's kinda expensive. Even if one day I'll enroll anyway, it's great the content you produce 🙏
Let's get back to the issue. What I'm trying to do, is to ANIMATE a sphere that rotates while revolves around another sphere (they're actually spherical gears), and dynamically *solid difference* them WHILE they're moving.
It's based on this video on UA-cam.
      I can't share the url.
ABENICS - Active Ball Joint Mechanism
There are documentations about it both in its video description and on the web, actually on the internet there's a site that explains how to pull this off, and he says it's necessary to make use of a Python script. Which Python I'll be learning also.
If possible a tutorial about it would be extremely useful for everybody.
      Thanks Dude 🙂🙏

@@ParametricHouse Thank You so much Dude !!! 🙂

      - He just like me tried to do this on Fusion 360, but gave up because it wasn't possible. I also tried and it seems the program itself it's not advanced enough for such complex operation. The 32 teeth Sphere has to boolean subtract the 16 teeth cylinder WHILE it is revolving and rotating. It's really complicated to pull off.

    Nice tutorial!
    2 questions!
How do I move points? When I create a point, then I can't move it around.
Also, How do I use my own solids instead of the primitive solids generated inside the GH window? Is there a way to associate an irregular solid I created to one of those boxes in GH?
Thanks so much, this video already explains part of something I'm trying to achieve, which I have explained it here: discourse.mcneel.com/t/automatically-create-3d-model-from-intersection-of-volumes/
