You can’t, Bliz did it automatically b/c of the merger & gave players a free scroll w/ 30 days on it for free if they wanted to change their name, if not it stays as is. It’s for players who had the same name on the servers that merged together. The player who was on the server that Bliz considered server “A” got keep the name automatically & everyone else got like she got a dash with a number, total bs.
I used a special fonts website (thanks to GZ) and then copy & pasted it into the game when I changed my name. Not all of the fonts work though. Message me on discord if you want the website link! 👍🏻
If your name changed to Ricia-2 it means you are third Ricia. The original Ricia and the second Ricia-1, don't feel bad, I was Eobard-5 in your server after the merge 😂 I really hope my server don't merge because of my name, and when happened in 2022 it wasn't a big deal because hidden lair only started having unbound gems in end of February 2023. I never cared for hidden lair before that change.
Just wanted to correct you about the name thing. It doesn’t matter who had the name first, it comes down to how Bliz had the servers ranked. What I mean is say there’s three servers being merged. If you had the name first but your server is considered server B or C & it’s being merged w/ server A, then whoever in server A stole your name will get to keep it & yours will get changed, even if that player no longer played & has been offline for X amount of time. Why Bliz chose to do it like this is total bs because a lot of players even those w/ unique names got screwed. Yes I am one of those players who got screwed & had my name stolen by a player who doesn’t even play anymore. I want my name back & not a dash with a number 2 on it.

Yeah my friend went from Xion to Xion-5 😬 And yet we’ve not even seen one of the other Xion’s in game yet! Totally ridiculous. 🤦🏻♀️
