Do you really think these people are even aware or care about that? The scene described seems to be the bar scene in which kobayashi is drunk so that's not even the dragon undressing on purpose or anything...Those guys don't care about context, nor will the parents truely read the book to see if their kid can have it back

tapewormrage you know what's ironic and stupid about these parents? there are evidence that rated M games does not harm kids from being violent. while the parents ignored it and still don't believe it. even thou its says it right on there face.

    • @HoV326
      @HoV326 5 років тому +12

      @@paraclonebasedtrooper8225 I
know right? I've been playing M games like Assassins Creed, Dead Space, L.A. Noire (I think that was M), and many others since I was like 11-12 years old and Call of Duty World at War: Final Fronts when I was in 4th grade and it has had no influence on my behavior or mental state or whatever in any way, shape, or form. It's such a horrible argument that people still use to this day. And it's really stupid when someone commits a crime or whatever and people try to tie it to violent videogames they play. Here's an example scenario: guy shoots up a mall, it's later found out that the guy once played GTA, therefore GTA influenced this guy to shoot up a mall. NO! That's not how it works! First of all, you would have already had to have been in a poor mental state or a messed up person to begin with to even have desires of shooting up said mall. Second, the fact that the person owned GTA and pinning that to his crime is like saying Earth is the most dangerous planet because it has oxygen and all humans that have breathed oxygen have died therefore Earth is uninhabitable. In other words, it is completely asinine and pointless to even try and create such a loose and thin connection that could easily be severed due to the fact that it is a mere coincidence that they have owned the video game. And third, saying that violent videogames cause violence is stupid because it's almost as if they are ignoring the fact that there are TONS of other things that influence violence way more than video games ever possibly could. I mean if we got rid of violent videogames, it wouldn't do anything. Violence would still be very much a thing. I mean, that didn't stop people from committing heinous acts before violent videogames were even a thing (and the same point applies to those who try to say hentai and anime breeds sexual predators or pedophiles and those who watch should be watched out for. I've seen that argument float around a bit and it's literally the violent videogames cause violence argument).
Plus, games have rating systems for a reason. If you aren't mature enough for the game or part of the target age group (by that I mean games with more mature themes whether that is nudity, gore, strong language, etc.) then you shouldn't have the game in the first place until you're old enough (although in my case, as I have stated earlier, I was playing these games since I was 11-12 because my parents deemed me mature enough to handle them and I would say they were right). But if a child who is at an impressionable age or isn't in a very stable mental/emotional state like the kid who killed himself because of (supposedly) DDLC (even though the game that was being described wasn't even DDLC but some texting game)), it is not the company's fault for making and producing said game, but the parents' fault for not monitoring what their child was exposing themselves to and instead of taking responsibility for their lack of parenting skills, they would much rather makes themselves look like bigger fools by shifting the blame to someone else instead of acknowledging their incompetence as parents.

Why the hell does a school with 11 year olds have DRAGON MAID in its library? That is not a series appropriate to a school library for that age group. Even without the titties and lewd jokes, the protagonist is a 25 year old functioning alcoholic office lady, not exactly the type of viewpoint character most kids are interested in. Don't hate the manga, hate the school that does absolutely no checking on what materials it stocks.
Wait... that's it? They _weren't_ angry at the book, just at the school? That's perfectly reasonable. Also not newsworthy, though, so it's still ridiculous that they bothered to write an article about this.

One scene I recall has a horny nude loli trying to rape a nude Tohru (Because dragons can get "in heat")
B: Children thinking "bad" stuff is cool during puberty is part of life. I don't think anyone has more of a problem with their child doing that that goes beyond "I'd rather you not"

I don't think I could ever get my Father into anime unless it was something that didn't contain what he stereotypically saw as anime. Like Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon or maybe _just_ passing off Ghost In The Shell. _Most_ of what knows is the stuff when he was younger, then stuff from the 90's like Sailor Moon or Pokemon from my childhood.
I could never show him what I watch nowadays and expect him to get into it. My tastes diverge a little far from his. (Though he did go to an anime convention with me, but it was really awkward for me.)

This is like getting hit with the School Days recommendation.
I blame the librarian. How did it get in a middle school anyway? The rating on this is at least OT15 or 16.
Seven Seas fetishy manga hasn't gotten attacked for being in libraries because people don't squeal about them. I hope it doesn't bring down the house and this Karen doesn't go on a crusade.

“These books should be banned from the school library because of thicc dragon girl!”
Meanwhile, many of Shakespeare’s work and Greek myths that involve sex and death made it to book shelves in a form of a comic. And yes, there were manga adaptations of some of Shakespeare’s plays in my past high school, and they were bloody!

To be honest I'm surprised that a middle School library would even have this. When I was in sixth grade, our principal banned kids from bringing manga to school.

When I was in middle school, I watched South Park and Drawn Together. The King family should check these shows out, as I'm sure they'll love them. Also, I should make a video called IHE Jr. Presents: I HATE KETV.

In all honesty, I can understand why the manga upset the mother. For a Manga that literally contains borderline Shotacon scenes between Lucoa and Shouta, it literally shouldn't be in a Middle School Library lmao.
