OH WOW! I walked the same section on the same day, Foncebadon to Ponferrada, you must have passed Cruz de Ferro just after me, I was there for the last moments of the sunrise
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It’s always difficult to get the balance right between how long of log should be. I normally end up with about 45 minutes worth of content each day. So I do a lot out to try and make it more succinct.
Changed my environment. Got away from people that filled their day with negativity and moaning best part of the day. Now I work with my wife (best friend) Boarding and walking dogs. Never been happier.
I LOVE this!!! this is what it's about. It can be so draining when you are around negative people who moan and complain. So glad you made those changes. thank you for sharing!!!
Sarah, this section looked so pretty 🌱💚 I think that it's very brave to quit your work to do what you do. Very inspiring. Edit- I was going to mention about the tortillas. When my ex and I backpacked through Spain years ago, we would big slabs of tortilla to eat as we travelled. I was wondering if they still sold it in the supermarkets it was sooo good. Edit 2: Question...what shoes are you wearing? Trail runners?
Yes - they do sell tortillas in the supermarkets - but I didn't realise I was able to eat them - as I thought they had wheat in!!!! Re shoes - I'm wearing - trail runners - TrailFly Ultra G 300 Max Women's Trainers - £160 - I work with Inov8 so all my gear is gifted. You can get a 15% discount on Inov-8 gear. Hello. You traveled very light. Could you tell me the size of your backpack, it looks small, and perhaps a video of a packing list. Astonished that you ran some of the way. You are an inspiration.
OK. I've got a question. I got confused when you filmed yourself holding your phone because I thought you were using your phone to film. So now I assume that you're using a GoPro or something for filming. The question is that I don't see a strap mount on your backpack, so when you are not using the GoPro (or whatever), do you just put GoPro and (your phone) in your backpack belt pocket or something... and then pull the GoPro out when you want to film some footage? Also, when you are filming straight ahead as you walk, does that mean that you're just holding the GoPro in front of you, or is it mounted some how? Finally, I just wanted to say that I've always been impressed when you have filmed yourself walking by the camera or towards the camera, etc. and the camera seems to pan to follow you. That's a nice touch. I'm going to be disappointed when this series comes to an end. Cheers.
Hi Patrick, thanks for watching. Yes I'm filming with a GoPro Hero 11. I have it on a Shorty Mini Extension Pole with Tripod. I put it in my chest strap when not filming, or if I've wearing my black pants - they have pockets on the side. Which can fit my phone on one side and the go pro on the other. When filming straight I either stand still and create the movement later when editing. Or I may just turn it on while it's in my chest strap and walk for a few seconds to film the scenery. The walking shots - I place the camera down and then create the movement later in editing using Ken Burns. Don't be to disappointed -there will be more vlogs coming from my Isle of Man walk, Offa's Dyke, Coast to Coast and the Camino Primitivo. There will be vlogs coming out until the beginning of January! I hope you will enjoy watching those. Plus I will be filming when I'm in New Zealand!
In my experience, the Camino treats me to be humble & not to arrogantly take liberties with my body & IF I think I've got the Camino cracked.... the Camino then brings me up short & teaches me a humble lesson. Be careful with footing when running!! If you were feeling so fit, why didn't you attempt the Dragonte, the hardest route out of Villafranca del B out of 3, through the mountains ⛰...........? Chicken 🐔 😂😂 😂😂😂
So glad when you finally discovered tortilla! my favourite breakfast!
SO GOOD!!!!!!!!

@@toughgirlchallenges Nice! 🙂 Thanks!
You could have turned off onto the Invierno route @Ponferrada, to avoid the Sarria hordes however then you would have missed delightful Samos. 🤷♂️
Tough decisions!!!!
