In this video I review Widow Jane Aged 10 Years, a blend of straight bourbons, by Widow Jane from Brooklyn New York. I also pitch it against Wild Turkey Rare Breed to test it's value for money. The who bourbon whiskies featured are:
Widow Jane Aged 10 Years: 45.5% / 91 Proof
Wild Turkey Rare Breed: 58.4% / 116.8 Proof

Wow great pick up. Never seen or heard of this, but I’ll be keeping my eye out thanks!
Let us know how you get on with it if you get one. I can’t justify the price completely but it I really enjoyed it!
I get a lot of that Nutty note with Knob Creek products especially Bookers
I haven't had any Knob Creek products for years now, really must get back to them!
Eagle Rare is 10 years old i believe, great pour.
Yep! I was being stupid with that one - as another comment pointed out there’s even a bottle on the shelf behind me 🤣🤦♂️
I made a couple of whisky purchases from Master of Malt recently and they sent me a free 3cl sample of this each time. The samples are actually labelled "Widow Jane Rye Mash American Oak Aged Rye Spirit", but its also 45.5%, so as the only one on sale on MoM is this 10 year, I'm guessing its the same one. Being a massive single malt fan for countless years, I've never really been into bourbon so I've not tried it yet, so following your review I will give it a try this weekend. Cheers Tom! 🥃
I’ve had the same sample from MoM, but they do have an “out of stock” listing on their site with the exact “Rye Mash….” description, so I don’t think the sample is the same as the one he’s reviewing here. Still very keen to give it a try though.
@@notthedj You're right! Good spot! What a pity. Still, I'll give this sample a try on the weekend tho. Cheers!
Yeah as @notthedj said that'll be their Rye specific blend, would be interested to see what you think to it though! The rye might appeal more to a Scotch palette than the bourbon, though it's difficult to say for sure without trying it. Cheers!
