  • Polyend Tracker Time Stretching (My First Attempt)
Today I wanted to check out the Polyend Tracker's time stretching sample edit feature! Now before we get any further, let me just say that this was basically my first time ever using a time stretch feature on any device at all, so the end result isn't amazing. However, the beat I wound up with is actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Time stretching, slicing, and then randomly assigning slices to steps is a great way to come up with new rhythms, and I really feel like I made some serious progress here! Enjoy the video :)

When you're making Beat Slices if you hold Shift you can use the screen keys to do a number Equal Slices - useful for quickly cutting up samples and it's a lot less hit or miss than Auto Slice.

Oh hey, I noticed that you don't actually have to select anything when doing any of the pattern options (copy pattern, paste pattern, duplicate pattern, etc.). If it says pattern it just does it to the whole pattern regardless of selection. Thanks for showing off the slice option. I forgot all about that! Very cool.

Yeah copying patterns is really quick haha. Thanks for watching!

Mr. Freebeat, any chance you might perform the theme from “Halloween” on Pocket Operators for your faithful people’s? 🤞🏻🎃 🔪🩸

I wasn't planning on any Halloween content this year but you never know! We actually did a Halloween livestream concert a few years back. It was before we dialed the livestream concerts in but it was still a lot of fun! Here's the link if you want to check it out ua-cam.com/video/2H7mkvOrv2I/v-deo.html, the actual show starts around the 29 minute mark :)

@7:51 you can change notes to acces slices, don't have to use fx line to change them in beat slice mode
