Hi As always, WC racers crashing down an icy course on TV is only part of the story. It actually begins by watching them free ski. That is where the magic lies. Enjoy :) reg Tom
Thanks for watching. I just finished a slow motion video of 8 top skiers from this footage. Gonna post it later this week. And I still have loads of unpublished material from them training. This is however the best I have ever achieved in terms of being at the right place at the right time.
My top technical skiers are Shiffrin and Basino. Mikaela is the whole package, although she is still trying to figure out the lines in the speed events. I have been impressed with Marta's skiing this year. Marta is very slenderr and skis with a very uniform semi-wide stance. I haven't figured out why Bassino can hold her line on icy GS courses. If Mikaela can get her head straightened out, she will be the GOAT. Bassino might be the best GS and SG skier right now. Women's GS is just so competitive right now and every top skier has different technique.
It might be because of the racing suit but it kinda seems like Vlhova's knees go a little bit more to the inside when compared to other racers, as if there's more distance between her skis
@@Triggerboy62 Kind of funny to explain, her stance doesn't seem that wide, but that outside ski knee is at a big angle in turns, after looking more into it, it seems more that I couldn't see it at other racers that wear bulky pants
Hmmm.... don't know who claims its not fun? But its usually the conditions that are horrible. Water injected snow = ice! We only use the FIS skis and they work in all kind of conditions. All our videos are made with FIS SL skis except for some GS skis once in a while.
Hi, I'm so sad to report I had to cancel this years video sessions in Levi. There is no snow and they are practicing on Levi Black. And it is closed for regular skiers. And it is also not allowed as the TV channels have bought all the rights for that slope. I will try to release videos from previous years. See if there are any great runs that can be re-released or un-released runs. I have such great footage of Shiffrin but I have been told I cannot release them :(
The Carving Cowboys AKA MSWSS (men skidding with shaped skis) should concentrate more on FEMALE WC racers than attempting (and embarrassing themselves and everyone around them) to ski like Marcel Hirscher
That is the AX53. Small enough to carry in my pocket and with a better zoom than the AX700. I cannot remember all the settings for this video as I have not used is as my main camera for a couple of years and it is giving me some problems but I always set it to 100fps. High speed mode. Anything in particular you are interested in?
Bro Ana Bucik IS from Slovenia we don't have other Slovakian woman WC races except Petra Vlhová or Martina Dubovská (shes from Slovakia but shes reprezenting Czechia) ok so that's the mistake🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰⛷️⛷️⛷️⛷️
According to web-page 27,5 deg. It is really steep. Intermediate skiers hesitate to ski down and skiers afraid of steeps walk back up. I see them doing that quite often when there are lots of tourists around. But it flattens out at the bottom and there is no real danger other than crashing into other skiers. Check out "shut up and ski" for more Levi Black rippin.
@@Triggerboy62 She is skier who finishes the turn (correctly) with the most counteracting forces in the entire video. In PE we teach children to coil to create twisting forces that create power. So many skiers are following their ski tips at the turn completion and Schiffrin is disciplined in facing the bases at the completion of each turn. Time and again the best always create the greatest counteracting forces at turn completion.
That is more interesting to watch than most world cup races 😁
Thanks, yes I think so too :)
Brignone looks so smooth and natural...
Yes she does :)
Nice warm up and great to watch. Good to still see the S Race as i think it gets a bad rep at times. Keep posting

Thanks for watching and for a great comment.
This is pure gold!
Thanks :)

That she is skiing with a wider stance?

Can't imagine how grippy their ski edges are, even in this injected slope.
86º with very light tunning base
Yes, edges must be very sharp.
Great turns Resi!
Yes, hreat turns. Maybe she deservs an own video?

Nice footage.....Thanks Triggerboy
Thanks, and thanks for watching :)
Ana Bucik !!!!SLOVENIJA!!!!
Yess!
Is this what they mean when they say FIS slalom skis aren't very fun to free ski with?

3 racers push brake ahah!!! Nice Levi Blak!!!!!
Cannot be argued. This is how they ski Levi Black :)
@@Triggerboy62 very interesting Trigger
Missing videos from Levi this year.

Hahaa.... soooo true :)
You can see why some are in the top seed
Yes you can. Thanks for watching.
Which settings are u using for this camera?

Thank you for the correction. I took the info from the official FIS site.
Easy to watch, hard to do !!! 😉
You can do it!
Nice !
@Triggerboy62 what its the inclination on this zone of Levi-Black slope?
