“We’re so lucky to live in a world where Ren exists.” Quote of the year! He’s been shouted out by some of the greats, including Sinéad O’Connor shortly before her untimely passing. It is amazing he remained underground as long as he did. 💜
Ren alone has changed the life and trajectories of thousands of people. How many singers can say that? How many actors can say that? How many directors can say that? Reaction channels alone have sprung up around Ren, then branched out from there. Then add people with chronic illness, who have sought more medical opinions. Singers and songwriters are upping their game and trying to bring something unique into their work. People are even learning the guitar, having heard Ren play. All because of one man. .
Oh Uncle Scott, every time you paused to speak, you said what was in my heart. I just wanted to reach through the screen and give you a big bear hug. 💜💜💜💜
I read somewhere that Ren went to a Fred Again show. Ren was singing along with the songs, and when he got to the song "Angie" "I've been lost, I've been lost, I've been lost for a while", he found himself sobbing. I hadn't read that story before hearing this mash up, but when he got to that part, I found myself doing the same. Ren's voice in that section tells it all.
Here’s what Ren wrote about Fred Again after attending the LA concert: “We went and watched Fred in LA back in October, toward the end part of his set he played Angie (I've been lost) and the simplicity but power of that one repeated line pretty much broke me and I remember breaking down in the middle of a crowd of people. Something so simple pretty summed up the last 10+ years of my life and explained everything in a sentence. Music is fucking magic for that. Big big love to @fredagainagainagain for making wicked music!”. And I did the same thing you did when I heard this mash-up by Ren, my eye's welled up with tears by the end. Cheers. 🍻✌
Ren just reaches in on a visceral level that resonates deep in your heart and soul, and it is a feeling that cannot be replicated with technical ability alone. There are so many musicians and styles of music I enjoy, but I cannot remember a single one who was able to grab me the way that Ren does - and definitely not so consistently. When you said he should be a household name you nailed it. I really hope that we can help to make that happen.
Love that line from Moneyball. It most definitely is applicable in Ren's case! This might be one of my favorite Ren reactions of yours! Ren's Patreon team created a chat for fans to share our favorite reaction channels. I just shouted you out with a link to this video as well as a shout out to Tym and Jackie. Much love 💖🙋♀️
Fred again, is also a hugely talented multi-instrumentist, composer, producer, D.J. who crossed paths accidentally with Brian Eno before he knew about him being a legend. He cites Eno as his mentor, however Eno says it's more of a two-way street.
I'm getting ready to turn 66 and I'm so glad I'm still here on this earth to witness this man's absolutely beautiful art. I enjoy watching your love for his art too 💜💜
Fascinating... Ren's a brilliant artist, as many are, but Ren is also particularly interesting. For example, he's a great guitarist, but it’s fascinating to watch him play as he pulls new sounds and rhythms from the guitar. Ren has 50 other talents that are equally fascinating, in addition to his skill. We are witnessing something amazing, and I hope people realize that Ren will be mentioned alongside Mozart and The Beatles in history. We normally don't think of contemporary things as world-changing, so there is hesitation in claiming something is truly epic and world-changing-but Ren is. Ironically, one of the most fascinating things about Ren is how much he represents what it means to be nothing more than just another human, while demonstrating how epic it is to be human. I could watch him practice scales while rapping the dictionary, and at the very least, it would be fascinating.
I had never heard of Fred Again before this. I have listened to the different songs in this mashup since and it is mind blowing how he adapted the songs in this style 🤯❤️
My take on his ability is simply that every time he opens his mouth, be it deep or fun, he is, in the most literal of ways, singing for his life. It means everything to him, and he gives everything every single time. ❤😅
Uncle Scott, I love your passion for Ren ! This is a mash up of 5 EDM songs by Fred Again : Jungle ; Delilah (Pull Me Out of This) ; leavemealone ; Clara (The Night is Dark) ; Angie (I've Been Lost). Ren saw Fred Again in concert in Las Vegas (I think) and broke down when he heard the line "I've been lost" being repeated over & over. He said that has been my life for the last 10 years. That is what inspired him to do this cover mash up. Superb.
I have written this so often - I’m so grateful that I have lived long enough to be on this earth at the same time as Ren. Fantastic reaction. I love the aesthetic of this as well. Just stunning.
Dimash is perfectly perfect, Ren is perfectly imperfect, together they fulfill all my emotional and spirital needs, musically. They are connected, but at opersite ends of the spectrum. Im so greatful to have these two incredibly gifted artists on my radar! 🦌💞🐷
Yes, we are fortunate to have Ren and his music. When I found him on UA-cam and started working my way through his catalogue, I wondered if my experience was like someone in the 16th/17th century watching one of Shakespeare’s plays for the first time and being completely blown away by his genius. I’d always thought that this kind of awakening must turn your world upside down, and it certainly did for me, and in a positive way. 😊
My fav part of this is at the end when he puts his hand on his leg to steady himself. It's like he had to physically stop the music from coming out of him🥹Gets me every time!❤
Wonderful reaction, all that you just said about him is exactly how i feel about him , how he's not the number one artist in the world astounds me , but in glad he's our number one ❤
While these words aren't his own, you can tell they mean a lot to him. You can see and hear so much emotion when he sings "leave me alone" and "I've been lost, but I'm really trying".
The word I use for these artists is beyond. While they are all talented and consistently able to perform their music your are correct. While Ren is Beyond is is also s unique cat as well. I use Beyond when the word Best is used so much to describe favorite artists or musicians or singers or performers. At some Best just doesn’t work… they all can’t be best … but they all are consistently brilliant, amazing, great, wonderful, inspiring, and lovely to listen to and watch.
This was in REN’s rented suite in downtown Calgary. Nice digs! He probably misses this just a bit, as the view is fantastic, near the Calgary tower. Sick Boi sign was sent to him by a fan.
There is a bts on his Patreon if him mixing this song. Really interesting. That's his apt in Canada. Wonder if he'll be in the same building when he goes back at the end of Oct
Man, i love the faces he makes when he sings. Especially when he says the line "turn to turn to turn to lion i eat nightmares for supper" towards the beginning 🥹 now you have to show this to Tym and Jackie 😂🤣💜
Have a vast eclectic taste in music dating back to the 50's and a musician and every legend that has changed and try different genres have generally worked with producers of said genres. This young man REALLY is a ONE OFF 🎵🎶🍯🤌🔥👏🤯🙏💪🐝🍀🇬🇧
Hey Uncle Scott!!! Ren just released a BTS video for Fred Again Mashup. It’s about 13 minutes tho so you might want to check it out on your own but you also get to see Ren without a shirt on 😂heheheee ❤
If you get time to listen to the Fred again songs it's worth a go, if for nothing else than the guitar solo after he sings "pull me out of it" where Ren has turned an EDM beat into an acoustic marvel

This is 5 different EDM songs from Fred Again. Ren mashed them up acoustically. Brilliant!!!
"Ren is a different thing." You know it, brother! 💯
I am in violent agreement. "We are so lucky to live in a world where Ren exists." His music is magical.✨️✨️✨️
Fantastic reaction as always. 😊💛💛💛
We are soooooooooo lucky to have him but also to have found him. It’s miraculous.
Soo fkn gorgeous. Mind, body, music and soul. ❤✨🔥
Really great reaction. Appreciate your appreciation. Thanks ❤

Facts 🙏❤️
We are absolutely LUCKY!! There is no one like him.
There is no answer to the “how” It’s genius for sure, but Ren has also been working hard on this for a long time. Special, once in a lifetime ❤

@@robmarar 👋
To think that he did THAT with EDM songs, is INCREDIBLE.
This is INDEED, one of my favorites..
The Ren effect is REAL.
You have one AMAZING day.
❤🤗❤
I love how Rens voice and instrumental have grown from when he was 20. And I have watched him since then.
Yet another one to show Tym.
Thinking he'd like this one.!!
🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧❤️✌️👍😁🤙👌

Enjoying making this journey with you...your enthusiasm is great!
Love this song. Makes me cry…in a good way. One of his few that hasn’t reached 1M which is so surprising. Thanks for continuing to share his artistry.

Love your reaction Uncle Scott. You nailed this one. 💯
He is amazing 🥰. Thank You for your reaction.
Ren has more talent in his little finger than most people in music nowadays.
I'm getting ready to turn 66 and I'm so glad I'm still here on this earth to witness this man's absolutely beautiful art. I enjoy watching your love for his art too 💜💜
This one is so, so good.
Great reaction bro 🇬🇧😊
This one is my favorite of all his "singing" songs.
Its heart wrenchingly beautiful ❤
Thank you ❤❤❤❤
Nothing really to add to your joy celebrating the genius and talent of Ren. He has also changed my life as well. Kia kaha from NZ

LOVE to see the enthusiasm we share for his work! Yeah, he's from another planet, which is crazy bc we all relate to him so hard 🫶
I love, love Fred Again mashup ❤❤. So lucky and grateful to have Ren in my life.
Loved your reaction - I feel the same about Ren xxx

Nice reaction fellow Renegade
This was fun🎉 my thoughts exactly 💯

Spot on x

There was the time of Glenn Miller, the time of Elvis, the time of Bob Dylan, the time of the Beatles, now is The Time of Ren ❤
Greatest
