If you learned Popping from very very good poppers, you learn every style and moves within a year. Really. At Winner's Dance School, if you practice everyday and try to grasp the feeling, after 1 year you would go to "Expert Class". Starting from "Beginner's Class" > "Primary Class" > "Pre-Intermediate Class" > "Intermediate Class" then "Expert Class".
In Expert Class, when I was there, Poppin DS taught us to get feelings with our own style. We all could do every moves. DS taught us to add more varieties to a single move. So that even we just to puppets, we can look much cooler. Yes, "Cooler". It's just so important in Popping. Favor and transitioning make a normal roll cooler. We freestyle in front of our teacher, then he will judge and tell us which part looked unnatural and awkward. then we add more favor to it. this made us creative.
Worst thing is, not having a quality taping of the battle, something as huge as r16. I mean the quality of the image is good, but have a closer shot of the battle in the middle of the stage so you can see 100% of their move
Don't judge it if you are not the judge on that stage, it won't let your level higher. They can be in R16 have proved they are good enough on the stage, not the same level like you and me. Just watching and learning.
From what I see, Snow's transitioning and hitting is perfect. He must have been popping for very long time. No hesitation, really really smooth, but that's all he showed. Not much "wow" moves, not so much favor and musicality. He just looks like he's dancing to the beats only but not the whole music. Maybe he was, and I am wrong, but then he would be really bad at expressing his favor to audience and judges as I don't really get touched by his dance.
No offence, I am not criticizing Snow. Dancers are like Sportsman, you gotta be hyper than your opponent to draw all your color, you gotta be physically in good stance. Maintaining yourself for battles is also a "skill". Boogaloo Kin clearly seems that he is better in "Battles" than Snow. He got some humor, not many poppers make you fun with their dance. Most of them just look funny.

Man great battle, so hard to judge, Snow kills the beat but Kin's feeling is next level!!! Love both of them!!!
