Actually watching this ancient cs,represented in such a modern way is so amazing!!! I'm gonna watch all of your videos, because I remember every single name from every single match and for me,this would be my birthday present for the past 20 years. And this is some insanely good cs,even for the modern standards!
was 2006 the first year on LCDs? the first sign of the end, forced to play on 60hz for sponsorship purposes. beautiful video tho, still so much passion
Yeah before the scene was completely taken over by sponsors and companies, skins, valve too, all trying to make a profit. The same people that make CSGO, make the $10,000 cheats that come with it, so players can cheat on lan. CS 1.6 wasn't dead by a long shot. THEY killed it on purpose to control and profit off of CSGO, which they couldnt do in 1.6. I don't say this as a "boomer", but the facts are, no one could cheat on lan, cameras were allowed to be behind players and screens during tournaments, to watch mouse movements etc. Once they took all of that out on purpose, and put face cameras, marketing for money with over hyped announcers, it became to corrupt. I mean CS 2 is FREE, that should tell you enough right there. Game is a joke, whole scene is.
@@Okieant i'm starting to think 1.6 will make a comeback. be the team competitive retro FPS of choice. I think that niche has to be filled one day, and 1.6 will live again.
This was the golden years
We used two NewTek Video Toasters to broadcast this footage back in the day. Every time we did a replay we risked a crash. Fun times.
Who asked lmao ur a no one now
Yeah. Only a producer for Eleague, director for Blizzard and owner of my own production company.
@@Alchemister5 ok u got me on that one I was trying to troll you. What do you do at blizzard
@@sylviaplath1128 Nothing anymore.
thx for commenting, your videos are important history. so much of the early days are unrecorded. like lost silent films or something.
