I am a messianic Jewish woman, who has received Yeshua as the Jewish messiah… He has changed my life and made my connection to God come alive. God always used intermediaries the priests to perform sacrifices and make intercession for the people. The messiah Yeshua was the final sacrifice for sin, whose blood paid for the remission of sins once and for all…. To all who have faith in it. He is the great High priest sent on our behalf. If you ask Hashem if Yeshua is the true messiah… He will show you personally. He loves you.

Some people place the First candle( on the first night only ) all the way on the left side of the menorah.
That is also correct ( for the First night.). But, on the second night onwards, candles are placed on right ( and added on each night...as she described.)
NOTE: the Shamash ( 9th"lighter ") candle is Always either higher or lower than ,and therefore set separately ( whether in the middle or on an End or someplace ) from the "eight " ( nightly) Chanukah candles !

Hi Liel, this is a little off topic, but I was wondering if you had any specific Hebrew writings or teachings that emphasize the importance of showing gratitude towards others. I am annoyed at it now being 8 months since my (Jewish) daughter's wedding and they still haven't sent out thank you notes. She and her husband work very very long hours as new doctors. I expressed my feelings directly to them both over a month ago regarding this. They say they will write the thank you notes, but it still hasn't happened. As a child, I always had her write thank you notes after birthdays, her Bat Mitzvah, etc. I have had friends and family mention the fact that they have not received a thank you note (which embarrasses me and makes me angry), and it is making me have bad feelings to my daughter and son-in-law. There are other things wrt the wedding which annoyed me to wrt her expectations. I want to not feel angry towards her, and send something about Gratitude towards others in Judaism...an indirect way to give her the message again, as I know that being Jewish is important to her, and my being direct about this didn't work.

The Bene Israel Jews of Mumbai say the blessings and the songs after the blessings exactly the way you described! When we moved to Canada we saw that only the blessings were said and not the songs thereafter. So the Jews of India were actually doing it correctly by saying the blessings as well as the songs.!

Thank you for this teaching and Happy Hanukkah Liel 🕎
I find that very amazing about the way the candles are lit.
Melekh Mashiach teaches his followers that those who make themselves least will be first in the Kingdom of Heaven and those who make themselves first will be least. The candle lights represent the light of those members in the seven churches of the book of the Revelation to Yeshua Mashiach. Also Yeshua is the servant candle stick, or more correctly servant olive oil lamp.
    🕎

Well , all of that "Christian Theololgy " was invented hundreds of years after the death of Jesus. It has nothing to do with the Jewish Holiday of Chanukah, in fact.

@ I think you would be surprised about how much the brit hachadasha agrees with Judaism, if you would give it a study. Torah actually has a paradox in it, that is resolved if the brit hachadasha is true. During a reading of the 48th Torah Portion Shoftim Judges - שׁוֹפְטִים I read a article in TheTorah by Dr.Jonathan Stökl of King's College London titled [Can There Be Another Prophet Like Moses?]
that showed why a Prophet like unto Moses was impossible. By Torah standards. For there to be a Prophet like unto Moses, he must make a new covenant with Israel, but if he does he violates Torah and by Torah he must be put to death. The only way he would prove to be the Moses like Prophet, is if after being legally executed, he is resurrected by Elohim of Torah.

@@SeanRhoadesChristopher you brought a Christian Theologian's statement that tries to prove a Christian Theology that has absolutely nothing to do with Jewish Theology nor Torah Law. While Jews believe in an inevitable mass Resurrection of the Dead by Almighty G-d Himself , Resurrection of the Dead is never any proof to any change or adjustment to the Torah!
The Torah cannot be added to nor amended to.G-d does not Lie nor break his Covenant! His True Torah Prophets Warn, in G-d's Name...and Give Hope in G-d's Name, without any Intermediary human or "otherwise" between a Jew and Almighty G-d Our Father , Himself! Any Human Being "resurrected" on the Operating Table can give Testamony of Gratitude Himself to Almighty G-d , for this gift of Life !

What verse in the Bible tells us to light a candle?

Hannukah is not in the "Bible". It is instituted after the times of the Tanakh and the traditions are passed down in oral law such as Chayeii Adam.

@ I'm just trying to understand where you get the fact that God gave the commandment to light candles. Not being ugly but I don't see it in the Bible and have been told there are thise who add to the Torah-with the oral traditions of men

    • @RuskiyStandardRaw
      @RuskiyStandardRaw 8 годин тому

@@jennyfuerte2770 There is a lot in the Torah that cannot be understood without Oral Torah this alluding to Oral Torah. Hanukah is completely separate from this. Jews are a Nation of people, thus Hanukah is a national holiday not a festival or commandment.
