There is a traditional brasilian dancing hand exercice. It is called adoleta. It goes something like this: "adoleta lepetit petit pola nescafé com chocola adoleta puxa o rabo do tatú quem saiu foi tu, puxa o rabo do café quem saiu foi seu mané adoleta." Something like that. I was too shy to play with the girls when I was a kid, and when I grew up, we danced other things. there are other traditional brasilian songs called canções de roda. look for tiqueque and "o trem de ferro" for a difficult one. For the little ones "yapo" is very fun. When I was a kid a played more 2 or 1 to decide the teams for soccer, and hide and seek and tag and flew kites and played taco, which is a brasilian version of baseball you can play on your street. For nursery rymes I prefer "palavra cantada", but "galinha pintadinha" has some good things too.
I felt a mistic link with the elf girl. I bet she could use those dance moves to hide in the forest, but she shouldn't. It is weird to see that presented in a stage. It feels more like her parents teaching her how to take care of her body in order to have more chances of surviving. She looked a bit shy and that was the cutest thing ever.
