Thanks for the video Travis, very informative! However, I would recommend changing the title, as the video was entirely in the context of retirement planning. I was hoping to learn more specifically about how to pay salary vs distribution. and as the owner of a video production company, great work on the production value!
Comparison of retirement payout is useless without a corresponding chart of the invested savings on payroll tax for comparison. Even though it may be unlikely people will be disciplined enough to save that amount 100%.
On $50000 income as a small business when does one get to save money? Money that’s put in a bank to buy property? It’s great for retirement but what about owning?
What about this situation. My wife and I were both making 70k salary and much larger draws, then we have kids so she no longer works in the business (we hired someone to do her job). She still owns half the company so can she get zero salary (as she’s not working) but still get the full draw (to match my own)?
Still didn't answer how much to pay yourself. Forget about retirement planning and all that, how much to pay yourself as an S-Corp is good to the eyes of IRS? 50%? 60%?
As an employee, with🤔🤔🤔🤔💡💡💡💡 clever distribution, he/she earned over $ 1/2 million more,🥺🥺😳😳 WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAA‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️I'll make certain to show this vid to my accountant at the appointed time‼️‼️‼️‼️❗❗❗❗

Yes , i has the same question , but felt he did not really address that.
Can you go more into depth about paying yourself distribution vs w2 salary? Outside of retirement. The pros and cons of it. Please.
Really great information thank you!
Thanks a lot for explaining everything in so much detail

The stock market beats investing in properties. Owning property is still good but it’s not even close.

Thank you so much!
Currently not working, i have about 70k with my former employer funded by fidelity. Can i move it into an IRA, and withdraw it by age 60 years.
