June 18th feels right. It’s obviously not this week. June 19th is a federal holiday, and I doubt they’d do a Direct then. And June 20th is a week before Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, and it might be too close.
It does seem like the sweet spot to get the direct, among us video aside

I’m a little confused. If an update were to drop the same day as the direct, then wouldn’t the trailer have said something to the effect of “Available later today!” instead of specifying the date of June 18th? The only reason why I’d see it specifying the date would be if it were to release a day to a few days after the direct, which would mean that the direct would be happening _earlier_ than the 18th.
you can actually see the video itself the second link on the reddit post talking about this is a link to the video that another channel was able to download before it got taken down . doesn't say any date at the end. it just says " new roles out now!"

Seeing as Nintendo has since shifted their first party game releases from Friday to Thursday, it could stand to reason that Directs have moved dates internally too; hence the 'strange' date of a Tuesday Direct. This very well could become the norm from here on out.

They had the Among Us video all ready to go, but then realized that it was wasn't supposed to be seen AMONG US just yet and tried to hide all evidence of its existence. Looks like one week to go until the Direct! Time to get hype.

I think the reason why they won't do the Direct next Wednesday is because of Juneteenth which is why there's been a lot of speculation about next Tuesday.

Hopefully a Star Fox remake or remaster. Most of the games just would need a remaster, but Star Fox 2 would be the perfect one to actually remake to tide folks over till the next gen Switch because of its pick up and play rogue-like nature and the multiple playable characters (some who haven't been seen since the original. Maybe even include the characters that were scrapped from the original as neat little unlockables.
How many remakes does star fox need? It'll be the 4th remake of the same mediocre game.

It would be something if we got the adventures games from the GameCube era... A new Starfox with Ubisoft using the gameplay from Starlink would be nice. I wonder how well that performed?

I don't know why but part of me thinks that the so-called Among Us trailer was probably a fake trailer made by someone who went to painstakingly meticulous detail to make it seem like a real trailer Just to Fool people into thinking a Nintendo Direct is happening soon. Or maybe I'm just damaged from being fooled by the Grinch Leak all those years ago.
Ok, this seems weird to me. Shadow drops usually just say something like, out now or later today, its weird to me that they would put the date in the video when its the same day. So I'm pretty confident that if this is from the direct then thats strong proof of the direct coming before the 18th. Unless you have seen a pic or something and saw it specifically say 'today' and the 18th.

I wonder if the fire emblem 4 remake might take a long time to roll around because of real world shit. I know advance wars is usually the series that gets screwed up by that, but since it has war in the name..... maybe nintendo will stay on the side of caution

I remember back when Link's Awakening was remade for the Switch I heard/read something about Nintendo looking to remake Zelda games that were too difficult to play due to their lack of availability. This makes me think that we might get a remake of Four Swords Adventures.
Hopefully there could be games where Mallow and Geno are finally given standard voices, much like the Hammer Brothers.

No we're not getting a direct on a Tuesday just because a among us update was leaked that makes no sense
Also no why the hell would they have a fire emblem game announce and released this year that makes no sense since we got engage last year and intelligent systems already released ttyd. It would make a lot more sense for it to release next year After the new system launches so we could release in the First year of the new console Nintendo would definitely who want a big fire emblem game to help sell the new console

Fire Emblem is not a console seller in the first place, but a remake of a less popular one definitely isnt. They are going to release some more stuff before the new console, this could make sense financially to be one of them. They are better getting more sales on the game from the larger amount of people with a switch then get less sales but maybe push a little more console sales. Also, in terms of a timeline for when they made it, people are speculating that it had at least to some degree already been made, because in some internal filing from nintendo the had the fire emblem games numbered and there was a gap between 3 houses and engage.
Fire emblem echoes came out during the period when we all knew the switch was coming anyway... So a remake FE makes sense for the in between years. Engage already got its DLC completely out. So the new FE game will launch on the new system
