- When PSA dropped a $15 special earlier this summer, I was ready! I split up orders based on the player/sport, and today I share the order that just arrived back that was entirely Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. I hope you enjoy!

Good way to learn about the products , You cant go wrong grading the quality players . I submit 80s hockey , 10s are tough now and I usually have about 10% that are flops

Thanks! I thought so too. Thankfully most of the sets in here were in nice shape and tend to grade pretty dang well.
@@carlsoncards unfortunately the condition doesn’t even matter. Graders have an automatic bias when grading anything that isn’t super modern.

@@user-xf2tl8ee3c funny enough I've actually had super poor orders on anything post 2020. Seems like I've had much better luck on this stuff which may be opposite of most people.
@@carlsoncards yeah, that is strange. I’m too jaded to send anything older than 2019 for grading now. I have the impression that if your grader sees an older card, he just assumes that it’s been passed around a lot and therefore will get a negative grade without giving it a fair chance.
On the Kobe 6 & 7 did you zoom in on the silver/gold foil part of the card? They may have flaked off small pieces, I use 7x zoom on my phone to view, which impacted the surface subgrade. I also stay away from those areas when wiping down a card.

Turkey Red was a cigarette company in the early 1900’s. They made some of the really iconic OG cabinet cards.

Cool, helpful . I have some Peyton 2000 topps finest with the sticky cover and card looks terrible. I assume I peel before grading.
yep I tend to peel especially if the condition of the peel is real poor!

I usually rub a corner until it starts to come back slightly and then take a tweezers gently! Hope that helps.@@Al-ImprovEd2022

That Starquest set is tough. I've never been able to gem one, so I stopped sending them in.
You had a couple non 9 sneak in the pile so might have had 10s and 9s be even. Fun reveal can’t wait to see the rest!

Is it worth cracking and resubmitting any non 10's?
At this price point I don't think so. But if it is over a couple hundred $ and you are really confident, I have had success doing that in the past. On the flip side I've cracked a 9 and gotten an 8 (deservedly so) before so it can go both ways.
Wow you got lucky not getting one of the dozens of graders that give every Kobe/Jordan an automatic 8
You keep throwing crease around on a 6 the highest grade with a crease is a 4. Educate yourself a crease is visible on both sides of the card a wrinkle is only on one side. A 6 can have a small wrinkle or dent. Trying to help you out since you do alot of reveal videos.
Ah yeah that makes more sense! A lot of the time when I say "crease" I am definitely meaning wrinkle. That is a good clarification.
Air force one... Air literally means an aircraft, as in an Airplane. Air force one is the plane that carries the president. 🫣
The card was Heir not air though probably a play on both words.
haha yeah my issue was not the Air force one part of it as explained in the video. I wasn't sure why "Heir" itself is so prevalent. You see that on his 96 finest gold rookie card as well. I looked it up after and the google definition is: a person inheriting and continuing the legacy of a predecessor."
