Tiberian Sun completely nailed the dread and hopeless atmosphere of a tiberian-infested world in its visual and audio design. It was a shame this wasn't recaptured very well in C&C3.
I've always wanted a FPS game similar to Metro 2033 set in this world where you have to navigate through this desolate world and fight tiberian creatures, mutants and left over battalions of the NOD and GDI factions.
most atmospheric, dystopian, futuristic, dreary music ive ever heard. I remember this still as I played as a child 20 years ago. Love it. God time flies.
@@phh2400 Hell Yesss. You're right!!! I remeber as well those sonic's were murdered my army so efficiently. The enemy couldn't kill me better than my own Sonic tanks. If you remeber the Dune 2000 that has one the best music along with Emperror Battlen for Dune.
i only won my first skirmish with a disruptor blitzkreig, next thing i used to count on was orca bombers. i wish we could play this game on web browser
It's amazing how this game, over 20 years later, is so deeply ingrained in my mind. Westwood had an extremely talented development team. It still breaks my heart what EA did to them.
Westwood was the tree, EA were the weeds that suffocated Westwood. They took over and Westwood will be nothing more than a memory. I will never forget Westwood and always cherish their top shelf content.
the year is 2001 ur 8 years old just getting home from school, you put in the brotherhood of NOD campaign cd into your Emachines PC with windows 98; You hear this music and your family is in the living room/kitchen.
Something I always found amazing about the game's music was the combination of imposing loneliness and hopelessness, and the mysterious beauty and glimmer of hope that you can feel shine through in the ambience and some of the little melodies and high notes that come in. To demonstrate two seemingly opposite emotions together like that in musical alchemy is to me, the kind of genius that far transcends technical skills and musical ability and requires a real artist's vision, and a deep understanding of the human condition. Thank you Frank and the rest of the dev team for the creative masterpiece that is Tiberian Sun.
C&C tiberian sun is a masterpiece of art, even for nowadays still better than a lot of these modern games for me it never gets old i still play(also with mods) i still have the original CD-ROM i bought when i was a kid, i still remember tiberian sun along with dark colony and battle for dune i still remember getting my mind blowing for the first time watching the intros, live actions and the OST's such great experiences i had after getting back from school, good times.
@@MrPowaking oh my god, it reminds me on how people were uneducated that its a remaster not a remake, and its gonna contain c&c 1 and red alert 1 not tib sun ra 2 other stuff
This reminds me of the music in Terminator 1 during the future scene when John Connor is returning to the base that's about to be attacked by a terminator infiltrator.
2023. Great nostalgia i say i was back in 99.13 when tiberian sun came out the soundtrack the gdi yellow units💛 the atmosphere just briliant Lady eva: welcome back commander 🥰💚
At 1:30 is the sound effect used for the reactivation of HAL 9000 in 2010: The Year We Make Contact Wish I could figure out the rest of the radio chatter.
99. Till 2022. Eva welcome back commander 🥰💚 Still the best command and conquer sequel and 2007.tiberium wars the soundtrack is the greatest gdi forever respect 😎👍💛💛💛💛💛
Been searching the intro when launching and choosing say fire storm, all the versions i can play now skip it :/ great legacy! We need this descolate futuristic epicness
Tip for the lovers. If you turn off the music in the main menu. Then start a skirmish game by your wishes. Turn on the music. Et voila. Thank me later, the only ost i know from tibsun is this menu track.😂

This game truly deserves a remaster. Not many can match this atmosphere.
last days of august '99, bbq in the garden going on, you and two friends are just hooked onto the screen and the fmv's, ... good times, good times.
As a 35 year old this game feels like a lifetime ago...
It came out in 1999
Pretty much the same age. This game was my childhood
I was 35 when you wrote this comment. Middle school me loved this game so much.
36 year old still does.
_THIS IS A CERTIFIED HOOD CLASSIC_
Another one!!
A Forgotten classic 😎
WE GETTIN' OUT OF THE TIBERIUM FIELD WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥
It just dawned on me (no pun intended) that this game turns 25 years old this year
Still playing in 2024, love the music in this game
Such memories
I started with Dune II, so no.. used Atreides sonic tanks before .)

Windows 2k here bro. My pub stomps were "Built on NT Technology." And I was 8 x2 by then lol.

Yes man, C&C tiberian sun is a masterpiece of art.
And this is a another example how important masterpiece music for games is
omg I feel so strange tonight... this song
I imagine myself walking on another planet when listening to this
This is Art. Glad to have experienced it during it's time along with Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert.
Welcome back Commander!
I miss this game!
Remake will release June 5 on steam :o
There are a lot of good mods for it out currently that really help modernize it.

this game with it's ambience and OST was a very great experience! aaaw.., think i have this game somewhere.., aah! moment please.., "starting" xD
Homeworld 2: Deserts of Kharak is similar to this game. Check it out.
Oh god send us a remastered tibsun
There certainly will be remastered Tiberian Sun
@@Sciffyan Hopefully Petroglyph will make it again and they could do it together with RA2 while they are at it.
thanks for doing this it calms me alot :)

Michael Biehn who played Kyle Reese is Michael McNeil in this game.
as a kid, I always made sure to click through the menu as fast as possible, because the Ambience unnerved me so bad.
This is it, right here.

one hour of Ion Storm would be great too!
Let's get the band back together guys! To the Tiberian sun lobbies!
This and chant from dawn of war 1 is some of the most powerful music I've ever heard because it displays a complex emotion excellently: despair.
This music made me feel I am sleeping inside the cryo tank listening mumble voices from the outside.
this is good for sleeping
THX for this
installing game... please wait...
